Well Intel has the performance crown right now,

You say that like Intel just recently got it, when they've been wearing ever since C2D launched back in July of 06. That's over eight years now.  The crown is sorta permanently attached to their head.

No.

I say that like AMD could remove Intel's crown in the future. I think AMD is going to have to change a lot of things about how they run the company and how they design their products before that does happen though.

Its wishful thinking that AMD might pull this off, and it would be great to have CPU's slugging it out and price wars like we had back in the late 90's-turn of the century time, but I fear those days are truly gone.

I've always used Intel CPU's.

As far as GPU's go, 3dfx VooDoo cards, then onto BFG, once BFG shutdown, I've been using EVGA.

CPU: I have used both, but Intel come out tops for me

GPU: Nvidia - currently using an EVGA card

The reality for me is that it doesnt make much difference, I would use either happily if the power and price points were good

I like both Intel and AMD for CPUs and I like both Nvidia and AMD (Asus, EVGA, XFX, or PNY) for GPUs

now as someone earlier added mobo I would lean towards Asus or EVGA.

CPU: Intel
GPU: Nvidia

My first graphics card was a Radeon and it fried so since then just stuck to Nvidia and got used to them (I also don't like red and do like green so that's a good enough reason in itself)

  • 3 months later...

This thread is about branding and aesthetics of prodcuts from companies in buisness.

So meaning companies involved in -

Cpus

GPUS

Ram

Coolers

Mobos

Aftermarket gpus

Cases

Whose "marketing", branding and aesthetics you like most?

For me -

CPUS- AMD, I say black attracts more gamers then light blue...

GPUS - AMD, Radeon, the fixer, Red and black

RAM - I say HYPERX and corsair, really like the design

Coolers - Swiftechs looks boss in this field.

Mobos - Asus ROG, but it may be considered, "too gamery"

A. Gpus - MSI Gaming, their design looks awesome. The dragon is cool too.

Cases - Eh im stil undecided on this one,

So whats yours?

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

I agree with most of your choices, though I also really like the black tower coolers form Be Quiet! and generally all cases which are clean looking with a brushed aluminium-like finish and no leds or gamerbadges and that sort of crap. Corsair obsidian series and most of fractal design's cases are good examples.
