Gigabyte Enters The Custom Radeon R9 Fury Race With Their WindForce 3X Cooled Graphics Card – Clocked at 1010 MHz

Mr_Troll

until they allow for RMA if the heatsink has been removed they are number three after MSI and xfx

I thought only EVGA and XFX do that?

Gigabyte has really dropped the ball with this generation of AMD cards. Let's see if this one can tip the balance...

Have you ever had the pleasure to have on in your hand and not looking at a screen? They feel as high quality as they look in person.

I don't doubt the quality. It's just the aesthetics I don't like.

yeah... i totally get you...

Then again, while i do not doubt this card being good, there is that lingering eeriness with buying gigabyte now, seing as they sort of dropped the ball with their 390 and 390X iterations..... faulty bioses/fan controllers causing fans to just ramp up and down irrattically.... oh well, i hope this one is the one...

still not buying Gigabyte  after that mobo i got from them  :|

And 380, and 370. Basically their entire 300 series is a clusterfuck, which is hilarious because I don't know how someone can slap a cooler from the 900 series on and fuck it up. Hell MSI makes SURE you know all their TF cards literally use the exact same hardware (just beefed up or down. 390 cooler is same as 980ti, 390x cooler is beefiest they have for TFV)

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

AFAIK they refused a warranty for a 770 Lightning to a guy from Denmark about a week ago - he posted about it.

zMeul hates AMD with a massive passion.... so confronting him with other AMD cards wouldnt help or even get a point across.

Also, no, they are 2.2

meaning they CAN be used in Crossfire or Tri-Fire.

tripple cards can usually only be used in Crossfire on ATX, e-ATX or XL ATX boards seeing that they would block one port on most mATX or FLEX ATX boards

when will these manufacturers learn that they gotta make the cooler based out of the R9 200/R9 300 series (hot hot hot) THEN slap them on Nvidia cards... not make the cooler for a GTX 900 series and hope it wont fry a R9 200 or R9 300 series card.

That's what Asus did with the Fury IIRC - still failed.

IDK, it's worked pretty darn well for MSI this time around (except they didn't try to match line by line lol. That 390x cooler is wowza. They noted hey... 380 gets a 980 cooler, 370 gets a 970 cooler, and 390 gets the 980ti cooler, well just for shits and giggles lets add some more copper and call it a day with the 390x.)

And powercooler might have done the same, I don't follow them much.

Dude. Send them an email with proof of purchase or something and pictures of the damaged GPU. Tell them that you didn't know that it was returnable, so you threw it away.

Main issue is Nvidia have the VRMs in the front and AMD have them in the back - most don't take that into account. MSI did

Asus=/= good graphics cards. Just sayin.

Asus had some good cards - 7970 Matrix, 980 RoG/Anniversary, MARS series, ARES.
