@brownninja97 Would you happen to know anyone who can make me an autocross map in assetto corsa?

I'd really love this to get some practice before I go to IRL events. Small tracks and the nordschleife help, but something a little more unpredictable like an AutoX would be amazing!

Actually just beat it. Had the setup below and 27psi in the tire's. Also 20 liters of fuel and achieved the time on the second lap (first lap was exiting pits anyway so didn't count)

Just a heads up, apparently amidst the Bandai sale on Steam, Project Cars is 15 bucks. Looks like they want 14.50 for me to upgrade my base only version to the complete all-dlc package.

Is it worth it? Is any of the PC DLC worthwhile?

@bcredeur97 Took a stab at your Nordschleife Miata ND lap time. On the out lap I did a 9:23 but left a ton on the table. One first flying lap, it would have been about 9:00 flat, maybe a tad under, if I hadn't hit the wall in the 2nd to last corner. :/

You have to see so much momentum in that car to be fast. Lose that momentum and you're done, lol. Amazes me how much of that track you can do flat out without lifting. But you need to be brave to do it, lol. :P

I'll make another attempt maybe tonight and try to record it.

It's funny, I have more fun flogging that car than I do tip-toeing around in the hypercars. ;)

Haha! Well it helps to have lapped the track probably over 1000 times by now across a few games over the years.

But yeah you have to be very brave to get a good time and let the car maintain as much speed as possible. It's quite fun :D every corner you are about to come off of your praying that the car grips enough to not touch the grass lol

I'd love to get under 8:50, but that 8:52 is still my best. But what you said makes me feel like I did good so that's good to know haha

The cup car is MUCH faster due to the extra grip and lighter weight.

I still refuse to buy subscription-Model games. I don't want to pay a monthly fee to play a game lol

Yeah, I feel like I know the track intimately as well, after doing the same thing (countless laps since Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 and every game since then). ;)

My out lap was basically testing the waters. I haven't spent much time in the ND in AC so the 2nd (flying) lap was basically finding the limits. Even still I felt like I left a lot on the table. Going into certain corners, it felt like I had to slow down more, but then by corner exit I'm thinking I could have taken that much faster, lol. Aside from just after buying the Japanese car pack for AC, this is only the 2nd time driving the ND for me, so I wasn't expecting to beat your time that quickly (or at all). I know your Miata is of the previous gen, but it still helps to know how the car handles. Probably feels pretty similar, no?

For a car with what, only 160hp? a lap time of Nord in the 8:50's is pretty darn good IMO. :)

Yeah I do notice some similarities between my NB and the ND on assetto for sure. I do wish I could change gear with a clutch and shifter in game though lol

id probably be slower because I'm not the best at downshifting but still would be a good place to learn so I don't beat up my transmission and clutch IRL

the DFGT pedals are terrible :/ I'd love to replace them but $$$. Was looking at fanatec pedals someone had posted here a little while ago but to get the clutch pedal you have to spend over $200 lol. No point in getting a set of pedals unless it has all 3 imo

my desk doesn't make the best cockpit either though so that's another problem I have.

But yeah back to the ND... It's a great car, good balance. I think it emulates it's real life counterpart pretty well. Needs more camber though just like the real life car (I have my camber maxed on my NB, you can actually adjust it pretty far on factory adjustments, somewhere around 1.5 degrees, I hear the ND has even more adjustment range though). I also have my toe angle only slightly inwards, a little more outwards than factory. Makes the initial turn-in really sharp and I love it!

Id love to lap the Nurburgring IRL but that's an expensive venture lol... One day

Yes it's worth considering you get dozens of cars (IIRC it was 42 but I don't remember exactly) and a couple more tracks (7-8). At $15 it's 25% what I paid for my dlc.

Is pcars development done? It's been a long time since they released the last DLC.. I was surprised I still had it all after taking a rather large break from the game
