This boggles my mind, how they can make the PC version of the game be so heavily dependent on so few cores/threads, when the game was developed for the xbox one at the same time. The xbox one has 8 very weak cores so they MUST optimize it to take advantage of more than 2 cores and more equally spread the workload, or it would run like garbage on the xbox. So then why does it load up 2 cores to 100% and the other 2 to only 40% on a much stronger CPU? We should be seeing more balanced loads across all cores in PC as well. I don't get this.

Downloaded Automobilista over night last night. Went to try it for a few minutes this morning before work and the darn game won't launch. :( 

 

All it does when I click play game is bring up the graphics settings menu. I click ok and it just pops back up again and again. The actual game will not load. Tried installing DX like others suggested on the steam community forums, but no fix.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

that can't be the only culprit as halo forge and quantum break and forza apex use similar encryption and don't have much issues.

Well forza horizon 3 especially in the city area uses are unholy amount of polys compared to the halo and quantum break so the encryption effects it a lot more then the other two.

AMS still won't launch. Tried disabling all in-game overlays and MSI afterburner. Still just brings up the graphics settings menu and that's it.

Validated? Reinstall? Try launching in windowed? Maybe its a resolution issue?

It is a resolution issue. Why do i always run into these strange obscure issues that nobody else does? lol 

 

Here's what's going on: The resolution issue I had with this old 40" LCD TV was solved by setting a custom resolution in NVCP. That is the only way I can get my PC to display 1080p on this TV. 

 

Now. when I was trying to launch AMS I tried switching to 1024x768, which is the resolution my PC wants to default to with this TV and the game now runs. But now, i cannot change the resolution in the game to 1080p. Even if I edit the config.ini with custom resolution at 1920x1080, the game launches in 1024x768. 

 

Seriously, what the heck???!!! >:( 

 

I'm thinking this TV needs to be put out of it's misery (~8 years old +/-) and I need to grab a newer 1080 TV. :/

Works fine for me, the downloaded files have always been lower quality however

Needs money for car parts :P
