Yeah, i was just messing around, didn't tweak the gearing all that much, had it running better today before I decided to make it 'just' a 1500hp drag car. Its currently running the KM in about 16s with my driving lol. Where do you find things like weight and is there any way of changing the tyres to act like proper drag slicks?

of course there is a method to everything in it. car weight should be in car.ini , mess with the tyres.ini to get the effect you want from your tyres, i personally dont know much about drag slicks i cant help much apart from explaining what each parameter does, you likely want to mess with the engine.ini for helping with the engine inertia and responsiveness and lastly drivetrain.ini will help you with the gearing. That drivetrain.ini normally links off to final.rto or ratios.rto for the actual gear ratios

this light read should help you out

and this tuterial is pretty decent for the basics

I know this isn't any of the games mentioned but I had an amazing battle on iRacing not long ago and I have to share it. Battling right till the end. We basically crossed the finish line at the same time. I did accidentally take someone out because I couldn't see where he was and came in a little to tight into the corner at 4:28.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

iRacing is ay-okay. I had a battle similar to this in Project Cars, except we were in old Mercedes cars on Monaco. But we were constantly battling, taking the lead then losing it. Then taking it again, then losing it. I unfortunately lost because of a small accident in turn 1 on Monaco, but it was a great time.

I was literally on edge through that clip. When we were literally a tenth between each other on the bank I was just praying one of us wouldn't ram right into the other into the first turn and surprisingly we didn't. Honestly probably one of my best moments on there besides winning a race :P

Definitely the most fun I've had in any racing game, ever, and by far the prettiest racing game I've played so far.

Didn't know we had this thread!

Currently I only have a 360 controller but I use my friend's G27 a lot. I'm actually pretty decent at DiRT Rally, and recently I got into Project CARS but I can't for the life of me control any of the vehicles with an Xbox controller (I always slam the brakes and understeer or hit the corner too fast and oversteer off of the track, doesn't help that the steering is so twitchy with a controller). Really need to get my own wheel xD

I know it's more of an arcade game, but I play a LOT of The Crew lol, I'm actually quite good at it as well.

After playing racing games all my life with only an Xbox Controller, I'm actually pretty fast with it, I'd say. You just have to get used to it. The hardest part is straight-aways though, you just have to come out of the corner perfectly and then never touch the controller until the next turn.

Well I tend to do a lot of quick flicks instead of a gradual push on the thumbstick, works well for games like DiRT Rally but Project CARS, well, it makes me drive straight off the track.

Project CARS almost feels like there is some form of joystick acceleration (like mouse acceleration the faster you move the stick the more steering you get) which with some extremely strange speed sensitivity curves makes the game almost impossible to play with a controller. It is a million times better with a wheel.
