Box Box Box - Sim Racing Players Club [Now Hype Train Enabled!]

I need it.

I am just going to say that the fact that driving in this game counts directly towards earning points for an FIA license is a stupid idea. Video games are not anywhere near perfect yet (GT in particular has fallen behind other sims) and can build some truly horrible habits. The only reason GT academy works is because there is a huge driver training program behind it. The only experience that should ever count towards a license is real world experience on a real track in a real car.

Project CARS almost feels like there is some form of joystick acceleration (like mouse acceleration the faster you move the stick the more steering you get) which with some extremely strange speed sensitivity curves makes the game almost impossible to play with a controller. It is a million times better with a wheel.

Tell me about it... But nonetheless I've been slowly getting used to it. I'm still bad at driving in general but for some reason the Formula cars are a lot more controller friendly.

Yellow contrasts well with exposed carbon fibre. I'm equally excited for this car in real life because one is slated to head to Toronto for a 2017 customer delivery - the only one to come to Canada.

AutoStradaForum ran a piece on one of Lamborghini North Americas top consultants, and one of the lead members of Grand Touring Autos (the sole Lamborghini dealership in this part of Canada) - in it, he mentions that they managed to secure one Centenario for a Canadian customer.

It's going to be on PC. It's going to be on PC. IT'S GOING TO BE ON PC?!

I will be buying this. I have not played Forza Horizon since the first one, but I will definitely be buying this. Australia was a fantastic choice, with a perfect mix of desert, rainforest, mountains, city, and oh, rainforest. Oh I cannot wait to drive on the roads through the rainforest. I have to watch that trailer again, especially for the rainforest.

Did I mention, rainforest?

Give 13 guys a big enough budget and they can move the world. Given the licenses they've been able to acquire, I wouldn't be surprised it they jumped right when the exclusivity contract expired - whenever that may have been. Their relationship with Ferrari might as well be equal to EA, which would at least put them on the radar.

Would definitely be neat to see the 919, 918, 991 Turbo S, 991 GT3R and GT4 in the game tho.

Isnt the next DLC italian themed?

Also technically Microsoft already got some current Porsches.

Lol the funny thing is that just before the end of year when I was guessing what kunos would announce i asked if they tried Porsche as the license for meant to end, marco said that they tried. I assumed that was a failure.

the Italian dlc was a lie to try and push the people guessing in the wrong direction.

The difference here is that microsoft had to pay EA, they were pretty open about talking about it with the media sites that asked, Kunos is working directly with Porsche in this case.

What do you mean when you say that they beat Microsoft? The Porsche DLC package included something like 20 cars and was introduced to Forza 6 several months ago.

Microsoft had to pay EA, kunos did this with Porsche alone. Paying less seems like a win to me

Google? ;)

On another note, had a mini freakout the other day. Was trying out the cars added for the Jap pack in AC. I CANNOT BELIEVE how well they were able to replicate the engine sounds, especially both RX7 rotaries. From the surging rough idle, to the spooling turbo and BOV to the random loud backfiring/popping exhaust when you bang it off the limiter - they absolutely nailed it. Job well done. Even the RB26DETT in the R34 GTR and the infamous 4AGE's in the AE86's, they nailed those too. The 2JZ could have been a little better, but it's good enough to recognize it.  But I cannot get over how real the RX7's sound, especially the tuned one with 444hp. :D Could listen to that all day long.

Will post up a short clip hopefully some time this week.

This makes me want AC so bad. If I get a racing wheel for my birthday in a month then I will definitely be buying AC and the DLC, Dirt Rally, and maybe one of the F1 games. But for now, it's PCars only.
