Just messing around with a livery seeing how well real world vinyl wrap "colours" translate, hence AI driving.

3 races into season 9 with PRD in the Radical SR3's. Really fun car, especially ona track like Bannochbrae. Heat 1 transitioned from rain to dry. I stuck it out with the wet tires and decided not to pit. Rears overheated pretty bad and the race was a bit of a mess, but can't complain finishing 6th. It helped that damage was set to "visual only" for this race by accident, making it a lot easier for some of us. The bridge after the town is like driving on ice in the rain. 

 

Heat 2 could have gone better if it weren't for that lap 1 pile up...  Eh, but what can you do? Car took some damage but I managed to keep the momentum and still finished 6th again. 

 

We hit this track again on Saturday. Hopefully it goes better.

It's an awesome car. For this season we opted for semi-default setups to make it more competitive and more dependent on driver skill. 

 

As per gentleman's agreement, the only things we are allowed to touch on the car is tire pressures, break and rad ducts, brake bias and pressure, final drive ratio, steering ratio and fuel loads. Everything else is off-limits and set to default.

 

We've also gone back to the double sprint-race format with reverse grid for the 2nd race.

Going to do a small portion of the Spa 24H this weekend; 1h race plus qualifying at 30x time.

 

11 AMG GT3s, 10 R8 LMS Ultras (replaces R8 LMS), 5 12C GT3 (replaces 650S GT3), 3 Z4 GT3s (replaces M6 GT3), 3 Continental GT3s, 3 RGT8 GT3s (replaces 911 GT3R), 1 V12 Vantage GT3.

Simulated 24H Spa is up! Only against the AI because they cheat and dont experience tire wear. Played it safe on the strategy end opting for full fuel from the start, ended up making 8 positions overnight into happy hour as the AI in front of me all pitted for fuel. Could have finished a place up but threw it away new the end.

 

Qualified a meager 13th of 36 on the default setup. Audis and the Bentley are too quick.

It uses the same custom livery system as the first game, so no doubt somebody will make one if its not in by default.

 

Which begs the question, are custom liveries transferrable between the two games.

Any recommendations, I primarily have played iracing but would prefer something a little more arcadey for a change of pace

Welp its decided, due to that im getting forza 7 first .

 

There were mods to fix this utter shit skin limitation but the issue to the randoms on racedepartment for example will not know this and the total created amount of skins will be reduced as a result which is really annoying further it means their folder structur for stuff like that will not be decent. since skinning makes up for a lot of the enjoyment i get out of racing games now(weird i know) i think ill wait for the winter sale to get pcars 2 now. silly reason I know but their system for skinners was complete wank in the first for the creators

Cheers, always trying to improve in my skin creations and judging by the pcars engine when i do get it they will look amazing in them, a lot of the quality was lost in pcars1 due to how shiny the cars are but the liveries look amazing in pcars2 and arent compressed to hell like in the first game.
