That place looks familiar. ;) They have quite a nice gaming area. Was impressed to see if after they set it all up a couple years ago.

Ya its the one in Unionville. Not much has changed really, they were running that G29 into the ground lol. Was there picking up a WD Black 1tb nvme drive for a friend. For $230 it was a killer of a deal.

Black friday was great this year for once, and from Best Buy of all places. Upgraded my network to an Orbi Mesh setup, got a Logitech G910 and G900 on my way home from the rally, and just picked up a 1080SC to replace my 290s.

Testing the 1080. Oh man between the 1700X and now the 1080SC, the rig has completely changed how my games look. Next up is a VR test but until then...

ACC looks amazing at Epic. As for recording, I can attest that AMD's ReLive is more or less on par with Nvidia Shadowplay in terms of convenience of recording and relative quality, though you can bump up the bitrate in Shadowplay much further (but why you would want to do this I don't know). Need to compare with OBS sometime because Destiny 2 doesn't play nice with third party recording software.

My local Canada Computers finally updated their gaming area. They've been running a gtx970 rig for the longest while, but now its been updated to something that can handle Project CARS 2 which is amazingly fun (and they got all the DLC!). The vive rig was always there but it was just a basic standing area with the lightboxes; now it looks like theres a new rig but not sure if its actually used for demos or not. Bummer since I'd really like to try that TS-XW Racer out to see how strong the FFB is.

Theyve also swapped out their G29 for a G920, and its not mounted down properly so I couldnt get a good feel for it. Similar enough to the other logitech wheels, but the pedals felt somewhat new to me. Maybe its cause the old one was absolutely thrashed to hell and back but this new set feels like its got a rubber conical mod in the brake pedal, since it seems to reach half-travel relatively consistently and doesnt have the same profile as my G27. But it could also just be because I was in winter boots so who knows.

Please let me know soon as yuo gone on that setup, I'm looking at the TS-PC which for all is the same wheel and would love feedback on how good it is

Assetto corsa + public servers + Twitch = Sweary rage stream.

FFS why can't people learn basic car control before they come online, there where idiot spinning out on long straights.

Little tip if you go online as a newbie turn the diff down to 10% on most cars, it will save you oversteering off every other corner LOL..

To be fair some of the bad driving is funny, but it wears a bit thin when you get shunted from behind every other race because they don't know what the break pedal is for,

yeah .... online tends to be chaos for most racing games... my guess is that people try to be competitive with a keyboard or a shitty controller ... or dont really care

Release 4 feels like a different game entirely

If anything the UIX changes and optimized loading times are a big update. As far as the new content, the 488 feels slightly more agile than the M6 but a bit sluggish out of corners. The interior is a lot better detailed so its become my go-to for places I'd rather be. Hungauroring isn't my favourite track (lie: I really like sector 1, but thats about it) and I'm so tempted to drive it like a Formula 1 car coming from f1 2015.

Having a dash that lights up properly with status LEDs is neat too. Every release the cars get better and better... cant wait for the Porker and the Datsun.
