3-motion rigs bounce around the VR so much that it looks a rad unrealistic. I don't recall (now renamed) WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca being that bumpy from other onboards.

As of April 1, WeatherTech took over the naming rights from Mazda.

No more Mazda but the brand will continue to support the programs at the track and be involved in motorsports there.

G27 is still a great wheel (although belts do objectively feel better, you still get a good amount of control with gears)! If you can get your hand on a 3D printer, you can make your own hub for a larger rim.

yeah im not gonna fork up the cash for a belt driven wheel when I barely have time to sim race now anyway lol

there's free 3D printing (including materials) at my local library... I should actually go check that out one day.

Ya I learned about it at my local library too! Actually pretty amazing that they have creative assets available for use, once you get certified.

I'm on my second G27, Only sold the first one as moved country, and yeah I'll buy a 3rd. Its a great starting place and yes I will upgrade to some serious gear later on, this at least gets me racing while I sort out the Seat, cockpit and screen/VR Headset.

Very happy with it.

Pretty good race for me, track must have been hot (i probably should get into habit of checking track temp) because I was way off my practice pace.. but I think so was everyone else. One GT was annoying as fuck as TWICE I got unlucky to catch him on the entry of Pouhon, and instead of giving me room as you would think the 10th place GTLM car would he crowds me almost costing me a position.

As odd as it is to still see ARX01s racing, the endurance combo on some of the tracks does make for exciting racing. Great job!

Decided to dust off the Oreca 03 for a few laps. One of my favourite cars from the first game made even better now. Definitely a lot harder to find speed than the modern lmp2s but it is so much more responsive on the limit.

Ironically my inlap was faster than my hotlaps.

Damn I need to stop dicking around and get my proper sim stand built, the IRL Racing season is over now, so guess no better time then the present to get on it.

Loving PCars 2 Endurance racing.

If you're interested in joining a league, check us out over at PRD: http://pantheracingdivision.com/forum/

I've been racing with them for about 3 years now. We strive on good, clean and competitive racing. Right now we're in mid-season of a multiclass endurance race series with RSR (GT3 and LMP2), along with our current regular season in GT4 class (2x 45min races/week, every Wednesday and Saturday).

Here's my on-board footage from one of our first test races after switching to PCars 2:

Hey man, I'll totally look into it, the only issue joining a US based team is the time zone differences, the weekend one shouldn't be an issue but the week one could be,

I'll still check it out.

In other news, My mates bringing over his stand and we going to attempt a 24H Nurburg race as the real-life one is happening this weekend. It might end up only been a 12H but should still be fun.

just wanted to find out from you, how does Pcars2 do with an endurance race? do the AI get crashes when I'm not there? are there yellows flags and such while the cars move? Super keen for the most real immersion possible for now.

PC2 falls apart when you race offline with AI because of their simpler physics model so they dont behave with quite the same race pace, especially when doing longer stints where tire/fuel strategy comes into play or when it starts to rain.

Online with league racing the endurance racing features are much better with how you can setup lobbies and multi-class. There aren't many flag rules in either case, no penalties from speeding under yellow and such. Its more to let you know that someones crashed (which does happen sometimes to AI), slow cars, or blue flags.

I have no idea because I have never raced the AI in PCars 2. Only real people or solo testing and time trial. ;)

It works really well with 2+ hour endurance races and a lobby full of fairly clean drivers.
