It's not just that, it's the kind of women that turn down a man that opens doors for them, puts them to bed when they've had to much to drink (and then goes to bed in another room), drives half way across a county when they call in the middle of the night because they've had too much to drink, etc. for some scumbag drug addict that abuses them, physically and mentally.

It is not just women these days that have this sense of entitlement, and are demanding absurd advantages "just because". Something went wrong with this current generation somewhere. The sad part is, it's getting worse. You see those minimum wage burger flippers demanding a pay raise on par with those in IT fields, right? Have you ever worked at minimum wage? You work 40 hours a week and you cant even put decent food on your plate. So what do you do? The majority of the problems today in my opinion come from having too many people.  Essentially, for all of human history except for the last few decades, we didn't have enough people to do all the work.  We have always had lazy people, but there was enough inefficiency and simply enough sheer work to be done that everyone could have work if they wanted it.  Now we have a problem, efficiency has drastically increased and is still skyrocketing, and we have more people than we have work to be done.  The bulk of today's jobs are basically just so people have something to do.

 

People are entitled today for a couple different reasons.  The boomers are entitled because they were around when everything was going "well".  Jobs and pay were a plenty, they were on top of the world.  They changed and "fixed" their countries as desired (mostly talking USA and Europe here).  So to them, nothing can't be done and the problems aren't theirs to deal with so who cares?  My generation was raised by boomers and we were told we were special and that instant success could be ours after college and that the lives the boomers had would be ours, but better!  The younger generations were raised with these false ideals and told how their feelings are the most important thing ever. 

 

The problem is we have too many people, and life is way too good here in the US and most of the western world.  We have people complaining how they are "poor" in the US.  And they might be poor compared to the rich people; but if you want to talk about 1%ers, the US is the 1% of the world.  Our feminists complain because their feelings get hurt.  Our men complain because they have to actually work to get money and women.  The old complain that the young are stupid and entitled, the young complain that the old won't die off already.  Essentially, life is so good here that the only thing we have left to do is complain.  Especially about having to look at all the poor countries, why can't they just go away already.

Let's also not forget about the opportunity cost of working.

 

Labor Economics:

Sure the reward for working is getting paid, but the is a cost to everything even working. Most young people these days see the cost of working to be loss of time. With immensely high egos they believe their time to be worth a whole lot more than what they would be paid for and therefore would try to avoid work. Because time is a finite resource they want to keep as much of it as possible unless the tradeoff is well above their perceived opportunity cost.

 

Also people these days would rather not work at all than to work for somebody else. Everyone wants to be their own boss. We're starting to see an economy where more and more people are becoming contractors as opposed to working for a large established business. As a result people are willing to work less for less so long as they decide when they work and for whom they work.

 

 

 

Population is indeed a problem, there can only be so much that can be done at any one time. There's a limited number of physical and emotional needs we have as people. I really don't see a way around this. It's a part of capitalism, some people win, some people lose.
