The first one is impossible, since the cpu doesnt fit in that mobo...

Intel wins. Because upgadability and performance and everything.

And because last time AMD made a CPU was 5 years ago, which just shows how good they currently are at it.

well, the first build wouldn't work, because Intel LGA 1150 CPU on an AMD FM2+ board.

but IMO I would go for the first build, switch GPU out for something second hand for the same price and upgrade CPU soon to an i5.

You need another Motherboard for Intel, but for Gaming I would take Intel, for Video Editing the AMD.

I successfully hacked 127.0.0.1! Now I cant turn on my computer :/

The font doesnt show up on the night version of the site very well. Just highlight it all, hit ctrl+x and then ctrl+shift+v to remove colors and formatting and stuff

Need dem 4 cores, and mediocre overall performance? apu

Otherwise the pentium, but whenever 4 cores are needed, you are screwed.

If you get that Pentium you can get an i5 down the road so I would go for that and use 4GB RAM and whatnot now. You can also see if any Ivy Bridge systems can be found use on Craigslist or whatever. I very nearly bought a locked 3570 for $70.

Mhm. Go play a few AAA titles on AMD's best CPU. Then we'll talk about fanboyism.

I actually did a test of what you're saying, not with AMD's best but with my 8350, it's not bad considering this CPU's price and workstation capabilities such as multithreaded tasks, editing, rendering etc. It obviously is not a gaming CPU, however it does just fine doing that as proven.

Here it is if you're curious.

I can tell you first hand that the pentium is the way to go, even on an h87 board i was able to get a 4.1ghz OC and play dying light 1080p max settings with a hd7970 stock. Even BF4 played amazing on that pentium.

you said this "upgadability and performance and everything." you didnt compare anything to the 7850K AMD CPU meaning that you blindly saids it was better w/o giving any information

I can tell you personally that the 8350 @5.0ghz on all cores, in a custom loop is only 66% as powerful at a 4770k @4.5ghz on 4 cores, with a 120mm AIO cooler. Sorry but intel beats amd everyday.

It does, a 4770k is twice as expensive though. And I do not believe it's 66% as powerful, an overclocked 8350 can match an overclocked 4690k in multithreaded workloads while 4770k is not 33% more powerful than the 4690k

EDIT: Okay, I checked it, you're right it is around 33% more powerful  than both 4690k and 8350 ^^

It does not matter though, you cannot compare those CPUs on equal terms.
