Games that ABSOLUTELY cannot run on 2GB VRAM?

DaPrimeRib

What recent and future games cannot run on 2GB VRAM? Just deciding since I plan to get an entry level card for my casual (sometimes hardcore) gaming.

Okay...

PC, as we all know, have graphics settings. In order to max some games out, they sometimes require more than 1, 2 or even 3 gigs of VRAM to run properly.

If you find that the game isn't running properly, turn some settings down or update your drivers.

I think GTA V gets up there unless you're playing on super low settings.

My brother runs it just fine on Medium with a G3258 and a GTX 750 Ti. Oddly enough, my other brother has more trouble running GTA 5 on his GTX 970 and 4690k for some odd reason.

It does. It sucks. Also 8gb of ram is not enough as well.

Just because you don't care, doesn't mean other others don't. Don't be a self-centered asshole. -Thank You a PSA from the people who do not say random shit on the internet.

Pretty sure you can play at medium/high without going over 2 gigs of vram usage.

Yes.

I don't know what you consider modern, but there's a whack ton more games out than Crysis 3 and The Witcher 3. Not all of them have a high recommended spec for ultra settings that require more than 2gigs of vram.

Like I said, if you find that the game isn't running properly, turn settings down. That's why those settings are there in the first place.

Depending on the card really.  Its not just about vram.

so... theres this "viewer" (client) for second life... that well... when maxed out cripples a titan X's 12GB VRAM...

(and no - its not badly coded, the guy just went crazy on shaders and texture stuff... gotta say its kinda impressive to see almost photo-real being rendered on the fly...)

VRAM, just for future reference, isn't always the bottleneck anyways.

A G3258 should not run better then a i5-4690k. Something in truly messed up.

Dude this is your third topic on roughly this issue within the last hour.

Also note the common trend of different users across each topic saying take the 4 GB model and call it a day.

Funny thing is, his CPU usage never spikes to 100%, yet he has odd micro stutters and even a funky input delay. Like, when he goes to turn his camera to run left or right, it has this odd, noticeable delay. We have yet to fix it too.

Like I said, somethings messed up. A Dual-core CPU is not meant for these AAA games. It is a stuttering machine and is meant to be a place holder CPU
