how did you guys get into pc gaming and where did you start ?

And it has just been a part of my life ever since.

We had a computer with Windows Vista on it, I played Sims 2 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 (and 3) with that. After that I got a used computer and started plaing Sims 3, and then GTA IV, which my computer couldn't run so my mom got me a pre-built HP Pavilion P6 2003nl.

(pls don't hate me,  I didn't know anything about building computers back then.)

 

I started playing Battlefield 3 and then I discovered LinusTechTips, I learned and learned more about computers, thank you @LinusTech

I discovered Steam about 2 years ago (I think) and I'm very happy with that.

The HP laptop I'm using. Saw my dad's PC, holy crap. I wanted a better one. I loaded up TF2, 20fps, I loaded up War Thunder, 15fps. I am now saving for a custom PC.

The first game I played was some weird game where you had to combine 2 pictures to make 1 picture. I was 2 years old back then, I played it on my dad's pc.

 

When I was 3 - 4 years old I played Need For Speed Underground 2 on my dad's pc. Still play it, love the game

I'd say Minecraft. I then solely played consoles until i decided to ascend in December 2014, and now my PS4 collects dust and does nothing else.

First pc game I addicted myself to was EV Nova (in approx. 2001), I still occasionally play it, is held up really well. And I started on a custom gaming rig my father built. Some Intel chip, and a Nvidia Geforce 2, we actually still have that computer, it's just in a box.

I still have it as well, can't stop playing it, build a damn good zoo, put lots of rhinos and crocodiles then release the animals and enjoy the show :3

1994 with "prebuilt" P2 machine. That thing lasted until 2003 when we bought custom prebuilt Athlon XP.

Built my own PC - starting off with a Phenom II 840, 560 Ti, and 12GB of RAM. Picked up a 1055T and then later "upgraded" to an 8120.

Well my first PC was a custom build by my dad's friend who was a computer engineer. And like spider solitaire was my first PC games and like there was another game called house of dead and another game similar to it but like it was two caps and you were following criminals.

OH.... CS 1.6 but I wasn't like going balls 2 walls like I am now with CSGO.

I started playing War Thunder on the PS4. I then saw the advantages the PC players had over us. Sold my PS4 and built a rig. Truth be told Fallout 4 being announced had just as much to do with the decision.

 

Funny thing is once I had my rig build I stopped playing War Thunder and started playing MechWarrior Online. Much better game.
