I'm joking. I think the last game I pre-ordered was Mass Effect 3, unless you count early access games.

The franchise wasn't suppose to go past AC3 BTW......Ubisoft saw it as a cash cow so they started the yearly shit churning.

Have no problem with this. It's just a recommended spec not a framerate cap.

Let's see whether they can actually make a stutter free game though

If they are aiming for 1080i (1920x1080 30FPS), they know that it will struggle to run at 1080p (1920x1080 60FPS).

If they are aiming for 1080i (1920x1080 30FPS), they know that it will struggle to run at 1080p (1920x1080 60FPS).

 

The way I understood it they wanted the miniumal peformance to be 30fps@ 1080p, not that they are capping it.

ok, will you get back to me when they release their recommended specs and it's not low ? it never has been for over 2 years now, and it wont be this time around.

Recommended System Requirements will be

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better

RAM: 8GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X (3 GB VRAM)

Minimum System Requirements

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM)

DirectX: Version 11

you can quote me on that if it's in anyway lower than that specs. and if you are targeting the game at 1080p 30 FPS for a GTX 780 for recommended , i don't know how you expect a 680 for a minium will handle it.

Those were basically Unity specs so not far feteched. But if on the off chance its optimised it could be those min specs are recommended.

Usually recommended system specs are a bit low compared to what it takes to actually max the game, so as long as its well optimized they should be fairly low for targeting 30. But it is ubisoft so who knows how awful the port will be.
