PSU ranking and tiers

Ok, it's a solid Build, but not that Build Quality what i expect for this price. A EVGA P2 850W coast the less as a HX750i, and have better protection circuits, thats maybe the 230V, 50Hz ist a little bit to much for the AX1500i.

Ahh, i forget the Paltimax: CWT..not more

Platimax are extremely good PSUs. Maybe not for that price but the unit itself is great. CWT have made some great and some piss poor products - such as the RMi and CX.

What tier is good and what tier is bad? Is 1 the best or is 7 the best? I can't really tell by the way it's layed out.

Tier 1 is best, Tier 7 is a fire cracker. You will easily be able to tell by the prices. Tier 3 and above are good, Tier 4 are decent, Tier 5-7 aren't recommended

Well seeing as the EVGA T2 is monstrously expensive I'd say it's not too hard to determine which is the most expensive tier.

Out of curiosity, which tier did you see the EVGA T2 listed in on the first post?  :D

Tier 4

EVGA - 1000G

Bought this one for my build to save 40$ compared to the G2, thinking there wouldn't be a huge difference, that evga was simply refreshing with new names... should I be worried for my build? its been running fine for the last 8 months or so but ever since I bought it when I turn it off there's a "tack" sound that is loud, sounds like a breaker jumping, but never gave me any trouble...

That sounds similar to the sound of a relay.  My EVGA PSU switch doesn't actually directly power the unit.  It triggers a relay, which in turn powers the unit.  Using a relay is safer.

Lol, it's not in there is it.? However, the platinum rated units are up there anyways and the T2 is just as good so yeah.

The 1000G isn't bad, not sure it's a tier 4 exactly, but it's not great value compared to the GS/G2.

Yeah, I was surprised that it's missing, but definitely one badass PSU.  I picked up a 1600 T2 about a month ago and I'm overly impressed.  Having returned a competitor's PSU from the same power and efficiency class all I can say is the build quality of the EVGA is absolutely top notch.

Little things like the quality of included cables go a long way too.  Not that most people that buy this PSU will continue to use the stock cables, but their not bad at all.

How in the world did you rank the Evga B1 Nex when there isn't a single review out for it yet...

Easy - it's a cheapo budget PSU OEMed by FSP or Compucase (not exactly sure which, I know FSP do the G1 NEX but not 100% sure about B1)

It'd be a tier 2 if it weren't for value.

I thought so, I bought it based on JonnyGuru's review so I expected a higher tier since he said "9.3 out of 10"..... I was expecting it to be second tier, but I would be fine with a tier 3, but tier 4 was too low for me...

That's the issue with JG - he rates based on prices whereas this list is entirely based on the actual quality. So if say a Corsair CX is 10$ he'd rate it a 8/10 but if it were to be priced at 40$ it would get a 6/10 from him. Here, however, a CX is bottom of the list no matter the price

guys are the those on each tier are sorted in quality?
what i mean is at tier one for example:
Antec - High Current Pro, High Current Platinum is better than  EVGA - G2?

also i want to ask regarding EVGA G2 and GS are those two quiet or does they make  noise?
and does performance differs greatly between the G2 and the GS?
