I think it should make it's way to all components. For choice. So you can have a very unique setup. Even if you have the same parts as someone else

 

Maybe one day we'll have a situation where every black/white component-only system owners can be like, "Hm, I fancy orange today. Maybe I'll try blue tomorrow." That would be brilliant, and It's why I agree with RGB.

 

That said, though; you shouldn't have to have it on.

Well I mean Razer did make an RGB Mousepad... So depends on how you feel about that.

Yes, everything should be RGB: RGB mobos, RGB RAM, RGB GPUs, RGB coolers, RGB cables, RGB connectors, RGB cases, RGB HDDs, RGB SSD, RGB mice (mouses?), RGB keyboards, RGB mousepads, RGB monitors, RGB monitor stands

But why only computer parts and peripherals?

Our houses should be RGB, too! With RGB walls and RGB doors. We need RGB cloths, RGB cars, RGB everything!

That would have practical use as well: We could connect all our thousand of RGB devices to our alarm systems and if someone tries to break into a house, everything bursts out in a flashing rainbow that leaves the potential housebreaker with serious eye cancer.

correct me ive im wrong, but that was a red themed motherboard. they need to use a complete neutral base to be able to use RGB properly

I love RGB stuff, and I feel that LED-lit components are a nice alternative to making your own case lighting.

I think everything RGB is fine. It adds more customization to color schemes. Like, you want to change your color scheme from black and red to black and blue. Just change the RGB lighting and you're good to go :P

I personally think that RGB is a good idea, but think that it should have its limits. RGB is good for customizing and making their builds look better.

 

To me, RGB is really only practical on peripherals like keyboards, mice, and possibly headsets and mousepads like the Razer Kraken Chroma and Razer Firefly. And RGB motherboard lighting may yet become something that we didn't know we wanted. But for the MSI motherboard, I think that they have introduced something new into the market, but as for the RGB on this new motherboard, I think that it isn't exactly up to par. With a majority of its visible surface being red, I think that RGB motherboards have a way to go before they really become practical products that people would buy.

 

Overall I like RGB, but I think that it may be getting a bit out of hand. More practical in my opinion might even be a RGB case however this can be done with the NZXT HUE, but could be made easier by the introduction of built in RGB strips and a controller. And who knows? we probably will find monitors with RGB lighting on them. People have even used the IKEA DIODER products around their computers and desk, to RGB-ise almost anything they want. It really is personal preference, and I wouldn't at all mind a RGB mouse and keyboard, but that is where I'd probably stop.

People get sick of RGB because of the price premium, RGB will always make the price go up and a lot of people cant afford it and get mad and bitch. Look at the razer firefly, It sold out but look at all the youtube comments under the release video " WAAAAAH ITS $60 "

Yes love it, except the RED ruins it on that motherboard. I understand what they wanted to do, make it different from just a black item with RGB but it just doesn't make sense.

Having RGB is actually sort of a good thing for consumers and manufacturers. By using RGB LEDs basically they can streamline their mobo design to just a handful of designs with RGB LEDs and for the consumers because then they don't have to mod or find a mobo that matches their criteria.

No RGB isnt out of hand and never well be, anything that included lighting should be RGB. Period there is no discussion to be had here.
