Eh, not a huge deal to me, but it does feel a bit odd that they are going to forgo any of the brand recognition they had with the last logo to redesign it entirely. Not saying it looks bad, im just surrpised they didnt try to tie it into the previous logo so people would make the connection when seeing it in the store.

 

Then again, logitech is a monster in the market they really dont need a logo for people to remember them by.

Luckily they aren't going to do it for all their stuff so apart from the UGLY logo, their name is at least sometimes ok...

 

My logitech mouse and webcam suddenly became very special to me..

The new logo looks clean, but there is no instant brand recgonition other than the name.  I remember being able to recognise a logitech product from the logo on the product alone, before even hearing of the company name.

Ok they had a flat one, but the more simplified logo is a lot more modern IMO

 

 

Making a typo more round doesn't make it more modern, in their case they simply changed their target. They are trying to look "fun to use" as it seems that their "serious/ergonomic" motto doesn't fit where they are going anymore which make sense considering what they have been releasing these past 4-5 years. it's not the same logitech anymore. (God their keyboards and mouse used to be the best to use)

 

I just hope they know what they are doing since their recent designs are kind of unappealing.

not bad, but why didnt they just use the font that the G on the G502 uses? that would have given a bit more backwards compatibility

The old logo was long overdue for an update, but that "g" looks so stupid.

Some websites are reporting that they also shortening their name to just; LOGI.

Seriously if they do that, then they really are run by a bunch of idiots who think that short, hip names are going to make them sell more. I don't understand is why companies seem to think that a cool new logo is better than brand recognition.

It looks fine , but I don't know how that will be implemented on their products ... 

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . I can dig it. The old one was starting to feel really dated. I look at my g502 and do not associate it with that old one at all lol.

But in all honesty, I think it's a good move. That logo was just way obsolete. It just reeks of 90's, and that is not a good thing in the IT world. I mean they even made it colour less on most of their stuff anyways.

 

Now I just need them to make a k810 keyboard with dedicated home/end page up/down keys, as well as a right click key, and I'm happy (or even better a proper tenkeyless version). I want it so bad.

I just wish they could bring back scissor-switch keyboards for the low- and mid-end keyboard market. They discontinued the very nice (though quite expensive) Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 (and the Apple-specific K811) in favour of the K480, which uses mushy membrane switches. Yuck.

I just don't understand why Logitech is going in this direction; they used to make some of the best scissor-switch keyboards in the market (if not the best); I have tried out other scissor-switch keyboards and only Apple's keyboards can be compared to their's in quality.

 

If this keeps up I might be eventually forced to go mechanical; I always found scissor-switches to be a good in-between between membrane and truly mechanical keyboards without being too expensive, plus I prefer the bumpier but shallow feeling of scissor-switches over membranes or clicky mechanical switches.

Honestly I don't have a problem with the logo because they aren't going to plaster that logo on everything they make, they'll put a series logo and then their brand logo underneath the product. I love my g502 since it looks simple and the only branding you see is the "G" on top of the mouse.

 

I have no qualms with the new logo, but to me they could have tried a bit harder, but nevertheless it isn't as bad as Corsair's move.
