How was your pc building experience?

Ghost

Cable tying all your cables together super neatly, then realising you missed one, so you have to redo the whole bundle.

Also, unplugging 24 pin mobo connectors!

THIS.

BTW...

Uh, hey, um, I think you've got enough thermal paste there bro...

How big of rice kernels do you buy? XXXL? Geez  :P

I only use a tiny amoiunt, and it still covers all of the CPU, doesn't ever touch the socket...

this is just a random picture from the internet   :P

i'm not stupid enough to put THAT much thermal paste...

Front Panel connectors, easy.

Also: when I don't have enough fan headers. It's just as bad as when your 24 pin doesn't reach.

I greatly enjoy building them, but absolutely hate when I need to take the motherboard out of the case for whatever reason.

Hell yes, even if I didn't, the reward is well worth the time taken.

Since it's an enjoyable experience, all the better!

Holding a GTX Titan and putting it in a pci express slot would be a dream come true. Too bad I'm broke as hell.

P.S I'm making a pc soon. Hopefully it is a fun experience and I don't stuff anything up.

As one of my close friend who has previously built a pc "Its like lego for adults, but if you stuff up, you are completely f*cked"

There have been many wars that have rocked the face of Earth, Many have heard of WWI, WWII, The Cold War, The Vietnam War and the Iraq War. But there has been a war that only a handful of humans know.....AMD vs Intel. It all started in 1985 when Intel released the first 32bit processor, the Intel 386. This war has been raging on for decades and Intel and AMD are still at each others throats. Fanboys have been ruthlessly killed, motherboards have been short circuited and most gruesome of all... CPU pins have been bent. Stop this war before it is too late. #STOPTHISWAR

When I built my first PC I was sweating so bad. I was freaking out about every single thing. every few minutes I'd grab anything metal just in case I generated some static (my apartment back then didn't even have a carpet.) took me two hours to get it done. Years later- and after a few pc builds, I'm still paranoid as hell... Nothing is sweeter than hearing that one single clean beep after the motherboard posts.

Putting on an AIO water cooler on my build wasn't so bad. The part I dislike the most is when the build is over and the software has to be loaded. I'll echo that sentiment.

I haven't done any crazy water cooling. I think that would be harder, but I'd imagine tinging colors would be cool.

Having been a computer technician, and built 100+ computers, the magic dies out pretty quick. My next build, i doubt i'll build myself. I'll likely just get NCIX to do it, or someone else. I don't know.

So the trend is you enjoy it if you only build sparingly (like me) but you will have diminishing returns on enjoyment if you build hundreds. Nothing is new.

I'm sorry your love died.
