As Corsair has announced its newest Hydro Series HG10 GPU cooling brackets for Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X, GTX 980, GTX 980 Ti and GTX 970 graphics cards, it appears that these were perfect for what MSI wants to have on its Geforce GTX 980 Ti Watercooled graphics card. While there are still no precise details regarding precise specifications, MSI did note that this will be an overclocking focused graphics card and with hybrid air+liquid solution from Corsair, so we are quite sure we will see some rather high factory-overclock.

According to a report from Kitguru.net, the new Geforce GTX 980 Ti Watercooled will be coming sometime in August and MSI is sure that this will be the fastest "out of the box" GTX 980 Ti experience.

This is a good move by Corsair and MSI. It's nice to see companies in this industry teaming up to bring cutting edge components, rather than constantly competing. Hopefully this custom designed unit looks better than the HG10 units, as I'm not very enthralled about their designs for the HG10 as I personally think they look a bit dated. But they do indeed perform well, which is what counts. Hopefully by this being a joint operation between MSI and Corsair they will be able to deliver a product that performs well as well as being appealing to the eyes. I think together they can make this happen. Interested in seeing what the clock speeds are, wondering if they can bring them as high as EVGA's 980 Ti HYBRID, maybe even higher.

Isn't that the cooler also seen in that bulldog case?

I quite like the look of it, but I've never actually heard of anyone using one of these systems on a card. MOst people going through the effort of deshrouding the card usually just throw a waterblock on it.

Although personally I think that's p cool, that's not enough to buy one.

Don't really need one/not enough money to buy even if I did

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Why are frankenstein GPU coolers being shoved down our throats left and right? Who asked for this?

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

because they're effective

I'd personally go air before hybrid

Wish they put a nice shroud over it still to actually make it different than just buying a card and cooler yourself

Pretty sure they're selling that as an after market cooler anyway for the GTX 970/980/Ti

It better be cheaper than the hybrid from EVGA, because that's ugly as balls

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

So to make an already expensive card more expensive this is done.  Will it cost over 9000?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

It wouldn't be too expensive. The EVGA hybrid watercooled 980ti is only $100 more than a reference 980ti, so expect this to be around that price point. The extra cost is worth it in my opinion because GPUs react better to water cooling than CPUs which can give them more room for higher overclocks than an air cooler can.

@BiG StroOnZ while it's nice when companies team up together, competition is extremely vital for us consumers, it drives them to churn out better products or more options in a attempt to get our money.

Odd.this is basically a 980ti ref board with a HG10 and a H60? I dont get why you would do this when we know that custome boards are coming out relatively soon. Its not like why i got it for my 290x. I did that because i bought the reference board because the custom ones took a long time to come out and it ran way too hot. This isnt the case with the nvidia cards from what i can tell...

Also i have my obligitory Fuck MSI, never buying them again after having to deal with their CS and RMA process. I will never support MSI again unless i start hearing that they fixed their issues. Their products arent even good enough to justify it to me at all.

This is hardly being shoved down our throats.

I don't think you understand what that means.

I actually like this idea. As some one mentioned gpus really respond well to water cooling I dare say even better than cpus. What I'm concerned with such implementations is the temps of other component of the gpu like the mosfets and vram.

Two massive companies are needed to put corsair cooler and aio bracket?! Why can't they do something that look decent like that.

Because if I don't see a need and I wouldn't buy it = being shoved down my throat.

Nothing better than watching people complain about products they won't buy and prices they couldn't afford in the first place.

I really like the HG brackets (have one on my 290x) but they really should get some kind of shroud for it for selling the combination in retail. It would make it look better and would offer a nice little bonus that people who just buy a card and the bracket can't get.
