My Console Peasant Friend 30FPS

So my friend who plays PS4 says there is no difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. I have shown him multiple videos that go in depth and showcase the difference. He still says PS4 is better because PCs always have viruses and never can run games at 30FPS or higher. I keep telling him and showing him and he never sees the difference. He said he goes on r/PCMasterRace and every one their just burns out their CPU and that is every PC. I want to slap him but he says there is no difference. How how do I convince him!

Just keeping this here as a So my friend who plays PS4 says there is no difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. I have shown him multiple videos that go in depth and showcase the difference. He still says PS4 is better because PCs always have viruses and never can run games at 30FPS or higher. I keep telling him and showing him and he never sees the difference. He has confirmation bias, he believes the PS4 is better and no amount of convincing will change that

 

Either take his PS4 away for a week and give him a PC or give up and let him play at 12fps 144p

1440p, 4k etc. also the fact that a PC can do more than just play games. Also keep in mind that he might not be convincible.

Make him play CS:GO with 60FPS frame rate and then change it to 30FPS(I think it has half v-sync option), make him use a mouse and keyboard too. If he can't tell the difference I don't know what to do.

just type fps_max 30 in console. But it will be impossible you need 60+, 64 is best because servers are 64 or 128 tickrate, so running anything lower than 64 causes de-sync and it's just strange as f...

You are trying too hard.

No point showing videos also. The difference is something you can feel when gaming in terms of how quickly your mouse / controller inputs are reflected on screen. At 30fps you have 33ms lag time between consecutive frame. At 60fps you have only 16.67ms lag time. Which means things on screen are being updated faster and you are getting more information. Explain that to him it's a mathematical fact he can't deny it. Then just tell him that most of us are sensitive and fast enough to process that extra data so we like high frame rates. Tell him if he cannot that's cool; just leave it at that...
