good first car?

Tim Drake

What would a good but cheap car to get used in Northern Ireland?

I know some of you are car geeks :P

Taking insurance in to consideration foo

A really cheap car to maintain that it very reliable is a older Honda Civic, I don't know what the prices are like in the UK though. They are very easy to drive and are a lot of fun on a budget.

You could get a 1.5 liter petrol one for cheap. I used to have a 1997 eco vtec civic that was pretty cheap to insure because it was a "eco" engine still was a 115hp though.

The engine is a D15Z6 if you ever look for one.

My first car was a Nissan Sentra. It was great little first car. I totally recommend something like it. Think, Small, 4 Door, Small Fuel Efficient Engine (You want it to get up and go for safety reasons though).

Not joking, Porsche 924. they were produced from 76-88. You can get them for about $3500 Canadian. They have GREAT millage, 30miles/gallon, and with a 16 gallon(65L or somthing) gas tank, thats like range of at least 450 miles. And yes they will really go if you floor them. my 1980 p24 turbo has a 0-60 of like 7.1 seconds. No fast in the world of super cars but far faster then anything else at thing price range. plus, its a Porsche :D

VW LT Van engined Porsche, I found it funny when people used to mock them but a solid engine with potential to improve the power yet still maintaining the reliability, not really something to be mocked :)

That doesn't seem too bad. It will fairly boring to drive. But you can always make the most of it. :)

But having a car at all is awesome.

But honestly, the E92 M3 sounds so boarish. That baritone-like roar of a BMW V8.

The litre bit :(

I iz a big noobz and need ez language plz

Car engine sizes are measured in Litres, generally a 1.0L engine is smaller and less powerful than a 2.0L engine - they are generally cheaper cars, cheaper to insure, and use less fuel

I think even my mum knows that ;P

I kinda know that but not when i'm looking for cars.

Today is kind of a stupid day for me as I read walls of text and now I smell burning in my brain.
