How much money am I saving recharging AA and AAA at work instead of at home?

So I don't pay for my power (yet) but how much does it cost to charge AA and AAA? pennies, nickels, dimes, a whole durn quarter???

well im at work more than I am home awake, so it is easier for me to charge at work :P

 

 

I was mostly just curious how much power actually costs to charge them.

For all intents and purposes , nothing. 
Output of some random Battery charger I found on Amazon is 200 mA per AA and 100 mA per AAA battery.

Even if you charge 4 AA every day for 12 hours each for a full month that comes out to

0.2A*2.4V*12hr*4bat*30day=

691.2 Watt hours.

 

at 13 cents a KW in Canda you spent 9 Cents.

That's the price for 120 batteries a month and using a charger that overcharges them. 

 

In 92 years you will successfully have saved $10!

(and charged over 100,000 batteries!)

If you drive a car to work, the weight of the batteries will increase fuel consumption enough to offset the saving in electricity.

i took 4 or the 5 light bulbs out of my bathroom to save money, amounts to about a nickel a month. I also miss spots shaving...
