Experiences with non-techies

Pardon my opinion, but this mindless bashing of IE is a little tiring. For earlier installments of IE (8 or older) this is understandable, but current version of IE is actually not bad. It's about as fast as Chrome now, and doesn't hog as much RAM as Chrome, it's just bashed because of what IE used to be.

Despite all this, I personally still prefer Chrome over IE. It has just grown on me.

I think Vista's IE is good. I have a Fujitsu computer, and the IE on it is good.

Flawed logic: goddamn iPhone AND stupid computer? There are 2 things in this specific equation, and they aren't iPhone and/or computer.

Walked into tech-ed (which I was in charge of while the teacher sat on his ass) one of the optiplexs , that was older then everybody in the class combined, had a sticky note on it. It read: Installed 64gb ram. I waz like WTF! So I booted up Windows (Which take forever because you have to get through all 500 HDD errors) Go into system info. 1gb ram installed. Me and the teacher lelled all day long. Three years later and I am still waiting for my pay check for teaching that class.

So my friend complained about how stupid his friend (not me) is for buying a 13" rMBP. Then he says that all Apple products are crap. I ask him why he think so. He says because they just are. I ask him why has no such hate agains Google or Microsoft. He says because he hasn't had any such problems with them, and that his problem with Apple is because it exists. I ask him why isn't that a problem with Google or MS. He says because it just isn't.

My brother once asked how to upgrade the graphics card in his laptop. He doesn't even have discrete graphics. When I told him he can't, He said I was lying and that anything is possible. LOL

Them: "You're good at tech so you can do anything!"

Us: "Well...."

Sometimes it's hard to tell them the truth, they might think we're lying....

tfw you tell someone to press F1 and they hold down the F key and the 1 key

Repeat after me

1. Tilt your head down.

2. Shake your head from left to right for better effect.

3. Facepalm is optional.

My mom got an S6, and then ordered a case. She couldn't get the phone in the case, so she called Dad to get it in. He is cramming it in. and he hits buttons. HE PUTS IT IN FASTBOOT. THEN GOT IT INTO LINUX TERMINAL AND WHIPED IT. And that was an accident. I'm in my room, playing heavily modded Minecraft IN MY ROOM. I somehow get blamed for what he did. WTF

Another good one I remembered: Days before our new Chromebooks (EEW) were about to arrive, I asked one of my teachers if the Wi-Fi could handle it. They replied, a person came out and said the Wi-Fi can handle 100 devices per room in the school. I rudely broke out laughing in his face (sorry) and went on with life. The day we get our Chromebooks, the Wi-Fi is horrible. Everybody is angry. This part was expected. What I did not expect was for DHCP to run out of IP addresses. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY!

I was working in a computer lab with about a dozen computers and they were powered from a power strip plugged into a power strip plugged into a power strip.

Same exact shit here. :\

One of the science rooms has power strips daisy chained together plugged into a wall like 8ft in the air going straight down without anything to hold them against the wall.

I had a LG Optimus G Pro, and if you started it while holding power and when the screen changes press the power button twice, you just wiped it.
