What I've gathered from this thread and just general life so far:

Techie Language:

CPU = Central Processing Unit

MoBo = Motherboard

GPU = Graphics Processing Unit

RAM = Random Access Memory

HDD = Hard Disk Drive

SSD = Solid State Drive

ODD = Optical Disk Drive

PSU = Power Supply

Tower = The PC Case

Computer = All these components acting together as one to complete complex calculations that, in-turn, do complex tasks.

Wifi = A wireless connection through an ip leading to a router which gives one access to the network that acts as a bridge to the internet.

Network = A connection created by an ISP, a modem, and a router, which allow independant electronics to access the internet or WWW through it.

Consoles = BURN THEM ALL!

Macs = BURN THEM ALL!

Non-Techie Language:

CPU = Computer

MoBo = Computer's mom

GPU = General Purpose Unit

RAM = Extra storage in case your HDD/SSD gets 'tired'

HDD = Computer

SSD = Computer

ODD = Idk it's too odd for my taste see what I did there? I'll, umm, see myself out.

PSU = 'Processing Stuff' Unit

Tower = LOL some WoW crap?

Computer = CPU

Wifi = As long as it's free it's a good thing! :D

Network = A series of tubes THAT HAVE CATS IN THEM!

Consoles = ERMEHGERSH ERMERZIN!!! 100% BETR GRAFICS DAN PC!!!

Macs = Idc 'bout yer GTX 980 Ti and 6K Res or whatever. I've got a RETINA DISPLAY YEAH!!!

How acurate would you say I am?

Those who do OS upgrades then complain.

Never upgrade always do a clean install.

I have explained this to many individuals that upgraded from XP to Vista or to Win7 or to Win10.

Exception: Upgrade from 7/8.1 to 10 then clean install as you will have your free MSA to use on the clean install.

Always. Do. A. Clean. Install.

-snip-

This reminds me of that one wild idea that I had (I legitimately proposed this idea to my professor)... Digital vinyl... It's vinyl disks that store digital data in the same way that vinyl stores music...

Idea got shot down in the early stages due to the impracticality of developing the system within such a short time span...

I'll still do it some other time though...

I am with you 100% I don't get the people who are determined for some reason to use cloning software and then it doesn't work properly or at all and you see posts about how to get it to work. You loose more time trying to get it to work, than to just backup your data and do a clean install without bunch of crap in your registry,

Okay perhaps that was the wrong analogy as I didn't do too much research on the 960. I have one myself and didn't realize it had these capabilities. In fact I may want a 2k monitor now since my GPU supports it xD. The point is that a console has the same graphics no matter what you use it on, be it games or videos or whatever else (if there is much more use).

2k is 1080p...

I work retail in a tech store so I have a lot to talk about, but my favorite was the other day.  A family came in wanting an Ethernet cable so I showed them where they were.  They refused to purchase any because they said none of them would work, when I asked why I was told they needed a yellow cable and other colors won't work.  They insisted that they tested other colored cables and that no Ethernet cable would work except their yellow one.  Even after I tried explaining that the color doesn't matter and that it was the same cable on the inside.
