Recommended hardware are suppose to give you 1080p60fps on High, mostly.

OP please. Have you heard of frame drops?

You will need a lot more than the recommended to get 60 fps ultra in most games.

This have been my personal experience with many games including shadow warrior , saints row IV and many others.

Dont feel like enumerating.

Recommended specs for bf4 was a gtx660 and some old cpu, but i bet you if you used a 660 and that old cpu, you wouldn't get near 60fps

No, it usually just means you'll have a very good gaming experience around the "High" tier of settings with close to and at 60 frames per second. Most of the time at least.

Well I did answer and give my personal experience/ opinion ...

Oh another good example is wofenstein new order. You dont need an i7 for that game lol , and i3 or i5 does fine.

Most of the times requirements are misleading.

Okay, give your opinion but there's no need to have a negative tone when doing so.

 

Also, recommended specs are the same as you would find for a power supply rating for graphics cards, shoot higher to cover your bases. It varies case by case but we know what they mean in general.

i would say, most are at least medium setting, maybe 2xaa.  recommended are sometimes hit and miss. if you changed the polled ti say something like high 30 fps i would of voted for it. even their recommended doesn't go into great detail about what setting you can pick, always found this disappointing.
