There's a huge stigma surrounding furries. They're weird, sexual deviants, disgusting etc etc. Hence why it matters.

The water towers weren't filling up again and caused low water pressure which increases the risk of bacteria growth.

YAY!  Every year we get issues with our water where theres so much sediment in it its unsafe to drink for a day or 2 lol. Yay for hundred year old pipes and that several miles of our water system is unmapped

I mean yeah the minimum wage is higher in some parts of the country but the cost of living I assume is higher in those parts which is why the wage is higher to begin with.

I don't think so. If you disregard the unnatural Metro/Modern UI, Windows 8 was a significant improvement to Windows 7. It doesn't seem to have those performance bugs, error messages, and absurd system requirements Windows Vista and Windows Me had upon launch. The only thing that held back Windows 8 is that they shoved a touchscreen optimized UI to users with mice and keyboards. I feel that Windows 10 is what Windows 8 should have been. I don't know why is it that they named it Windows 10 and skipped 9. That theory you quoted me from is something I found in forums which actually sounds ludicrous. Nonetheless, Windows 10 sounds better than Windows 9.

I don't think I go anywhere near that line.  I watch the show, I've bought some of the merchandise and I enjoy talking to my friend who got me into it causally about it.  That's it.  No MLP message boards or anything.

Remember when they were offering free upgrades to Windows 7/8.1 owners until "July 29th"?  Well I recently confirmed a rumour I had heard which was that they still do.  Just put a Win 7/8 key into Windows 10 and, assuming it's fully up to date, it will activate!  Clearly they feel the value to them of having people use Windows 10 is greater than the monetary amount they're charging for new licenses, and when you think about it, this makes sense.  They want everyone on one OS, not fragmented across many versions, and as an extension to this, they want everyone to be up to date.  They want you to buy things through the Windows store, like movies, games, and whatever else is in there.  They want you to use their many services including email, OneDrive, etc.  It gives people away to get it without cracking or torrenting it, and, if you look into where Microsoft actually makes their money, selling desktop versions of Windows for home use is a small portion as it is.  I suspect at some point they'll just start giving Windows 10 away for free (for home use at least... server will always cost a lot I bet), and to me, it makes a lot of sense to do so.

I'm not strict about using brony.  Someone is if they say they are and it means what they want it to mean.  I just use it for the reason I mentioned so it's not negative for me at lesst.

I like it because it's cute, reasonably funny, and expresses (at least to me it does, ymmv) some fuzzy ideals about things like respecting differences and in general being a nice/good person.   The whole "love and tolerate" concept.

Free could be nice but I just don't want to end up in some nightmare world where Windows is tied to hardware like Apple did.  The lack of retail copies of MacOS and Apple's hostile OS availability means that you're 100% dependent on them in the case of catastrophic failure.  If the HDD in my Mac mini would die today I'd have to go to an Apple Store and have them help me.  The only legit way to use or update OS X is on Apple hardware which is 4000% stupid...
