While I do have some "modifications" to my Windows 10 install (like themes and some other things) I have never had any problems with Windows 10 and neither has my family and friends.

I remember that Windows 8 introduced a feature to postone installation of updates requiring a restart for 48 hours. Which means, I have the option to put my PC to:

  • Shutdown 
  • Shutdown and Update
  • Restart
  • Restart and Update

Windows 10 took that away. On the moment it downloads and installs a critical software update, you only have the option to put the PC to Sleep, Shutdown and Update, and Restart and Update even if it's within the Active Hours. Some updates take minutes to install. It seems that this feature is more suited for users with laptops who mostly puts their computers to sleep rather than shutting them down.

Ah, that's an interesting angle on this.  Actually, what you're describing has been available since at least XP* (possibly older but I have no idea about them).  You could shutdown with or without installing the updates.  As someone who uses it on a desktop, I've never had a reason not to install them when offered, but I can imagine a situation in university for example where you want to shut your laptop down between classes and time is of the essence.  In such a situation, you should be able to hibernate though, if you have it enabled.

How I see it... I'm strong and brave if I fight the demons.

I have heard a few people say that they are not brave enough to end it... I don't see it as bravery... I see that as a sign of giving up... And I don't give up... 

I'm brave and stupid... I'd get killed before I kill myself (I see the irony in this xD )

I hate valentines even when I'm in a relationship. Last year I had somebody and it was a total disaster.

Exactly: facing your demons takes bravery and strength.  Bravery to do so and strength to continue fighting until you win however long that may take.  

 

I agree giving up is not brave.  It just means someone got lost and didn't find their way back.

Giving up is a permanent and false solution to a temporary problem.
