I know I'm coming off as a cynical, jaded asshole. I'm just glad I have the things I have, honestly.

 

On the other hand, my money situation makes me want to sell my laptop sometimes, until I remember my boyfriend needs a computer when he comes over, in case he needs one. Also, it comes in handy when traveling, because I hate typing on my phone.

 

So, please. Just back off a bit and stop assuming things about my life, ok?

Yikes this is the first time I've come to this thread, and now I know why creating a community based solely on sexuality or gender identity is an extremely bizarre idea.

And before someone gets mad at me, I'm sure you know I'm not straight by now

When statistics don't back up stories, they're just stories.

 

The statistical outliers that the news reports (which is their job), are present in every demographic. Those are far from what's happening to any of us, those are not the result of some oppressive system.

On your last remark: I don't think there's any restrictions on straight people posting here (disclaimer: I'm straight), but there might be a problem if you come here primarily to antagonize the LGBT community.  It's like other threads -- you don't join the conversation primarily to derail it.
