I have a habit of wanting to watch some reviews before buying and as I only really buy stuff in stores, I have to go home to watch some reviews and end up not buying the product

Not having much money on steam, I only have about 3 euro on it right now, And i only buy games when that are at Atleast 75% off Or it just launched and my friends are picking it up.

Im not much of a spender, If i say i will buy something it will most likely take like a month for me to get around to it since i want to see if something better pops up.

I was going to buy the 760k by christmas But when i got around to it at about newyear it was off the shelves here in sweden.

I don't buy unless I need something, or want something enough to justify it.

idk why people have issues with not buying steam games, ive gone entire seasons not buying a single game

i guess you could try limiting yourself to 1 game / 1 dlc a month ( which would be hard if you play payday 2.. )

Even harder for me when I see a whole bunch of games on G2A for dirt cheap only to add to my Steam Library.

I have a potato!

I think impulse buying can happen due to various reasons that are complex.  If you are finding that you are impulse buying and don't want to be doing it cut up the debit card and credit card.  Pay with cash only. Simple as that.  This can help people stop themselves from impulse buying.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

But that will only limit ones ability to buy stuff from a physical store. The card will still work fine for a digital sell. One needs to burn the card for it to no longer work :)

Have higher standards when it come to games. I don't buy a game that is decent looking. Game that is worth my money and time has to be fun and good. And being "decent looking" is not good enough.

And I only get games that I actually have time to play. I have 5 games in my steam wishlist(+5 on GOG) that don't wait for a sale but wait for me to have time to play them.

Also impulse buying is just a sight of impatience. Work to get over that and it will improve you in other aspects of life as well.
