Worst Tech mistake you have ever made?

Mitch

*cough, AMD, cough*

Sorry but i had to after hearing how 390 and 390x are going to be rebrands and not new chips....

I will use AMD chips till either I die or they die...... But that was a good one:)

Google Nexus 6- costs more than any new phone that outperforms and outspecs it.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810-hot, slow

nVidia Tegra K1-basically showed up in no devices. (sure Nexus 9, shield stuff but it thermal throttles and can only peak to A8x performance)

nVidia Tegra X1 (so far)-in basically no devices as well besides the newly announced stuff that will probably not sell at all

nVidia Tegra 3-pushed quad cores when the tech wasn't ready and performance simiply was vastly outclassed by A5

Google Plus-Why does this still exist?

Apple Ping?- Thank god this doesn't exist.

Windows 7- Windows 8 and 8.1 showed how flawed and awful this os is.

Windows 10- Why even bother when 8.1 is better, more beautiful, and actually works the way that I want it to, not how the plebs want it to.

Yeah I hate the rebranding as well, I was just joking

Does AMD have the money like Nvidia for R&D? No........so ofc there's gonna be some rebrands for some gens.

I am just curious to see what parts have not worked well for many people.

For me I made the mistake of buying a corsair cx750m 80plus bronze PSU. It is so loud, at first I thought it was my stock fans but nope it was the PSU. It is very irritating D:. What about you guys?

I will never buy any Thermaltake PSUs ever again. Their SMART 600W isn't very smart.. as in it makes weird buzzing noises and has awful whine.

Glad I switched to EVGA. ;)

My Canon printer.

It was only 5€ so whatever... but it takes about 5 minutes for it to start up and it makes such noise that if I needed something to print at night I would get all neigbours knocking at my door. And when it starts printing it sounds like old needle printer even though it is ink printer.

My PSU, it is pretty loud and has pretty bad quality. I am still keeping it because I don't have enough money to just buy a new one, but I will definitely be replacing it before warranty runs out, which is in a little bit less than two years. I really wish that I would have known how important a good PSU is when I built my pc.

I can't say anything so far, but the only bad thing may eventually be the CPU cooler, if I want to get some solid overclocks out of my 4790k. I'd like to pick up an NH-D14 second hand in the near future and go passive on the CPU, but I need to find one cheap.

how is that a mistake?

that PSU is a grade A unit just get your warranty for it its not supposed to make any sound in the first place...

you do know things can get delivered broken they call them DOA's (dead on arrival)

the same applies for you just because 1 unit broke doesn't mean the brand or product sucks
