My worst purchase was probably a random replacement lightning only to find that it didn't transfer data -_-  No refund or return either....

bought a fan controller, the nxzt grid, thought it would be software controlled. I plugged everything in like I should have, and all my fans are running at literally the same speed as they would be on 12v and I cant for the life of me figure it out.

That's what the Grid+ is for.

 

If you want to reduce the speed of your fans on the Grid, make it so that the input is running on 7V. Basically you want to modify the molex connector so that you move the ground pin over to the 5V pin, and the two pins on the outside are used off on one side. More understandable explanation in this video

Nexus 4. Sent it to LG after it got stuck in a boot loop and they told me that something on the motherboard got fried and that they could do nothing about it. Couldn't fix it, couldn't replace it. Nothing. Phone was 1 month out of warranty.

 

Neat Desk scanner. Bought it when it was still fairly new on the market. Every update to their software breaks everything. Means I have to go in and reinstall drivers, software etc. After a few years, the document feeder stopped feeding paper straight.

 

PS3 + xb360 - Too many died too soon.

A wacom tablet is a drawing tablet, something completely different from a traditional PC tablet.

Ahaha maybe,

 

I honestly use a $30 pair of crappy Sony headphones instead of the Beats. They just look so bad in my opinion. They feel like I've just taped a $5 dildo to my head and put Earbud drivers in it.

My R.A.T. 7.

 

Cable frayed withing 6 months.

'Sniper' button broke.

Got stuck randomly on the y-axis.

The coating (if any) on the metal wore off quickly, and now it is now clearly eaten through a bit.

It is impossible to clean to my satisfaction.

 

Despite what a lot of people say, I really liked how large and heavy it was. But it by no means make up for its shortcomings.

 

Got a G402 in November, I do not regret it at all.

 

Honerable mentions:

 

The 4 dead 2.5in drives that died to the Demon Crap-Top From the Depths of Hell.

The "Personal Weather Station" that broke down due to sun exposure, never correctly gave the total rain fall, and had a weather-vain that thought it was an anemometer.

*Every console I've ever owned (sorry, I had to :D )

 

* To be honest, the last console I bought while it was current-gen the PS2. I love that thing. Still going to this day! The rest are all 'retro' that I have collected (Xbox original, Atari 2600/7800, N64, etc.). Don't regret a single one, except the N64 a little, finding good deals on the 'popular' games is hard.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
