Yes i was happy with it. Think once i get the gpu where i want it going to work on the CPU more. Think i can get 4.8-4.9 with these low temps. Says im not permitted to upload that kind of file

The bios shouldn't cause that send me your bios.

so i messed around with the bios settings some more. Can you link a screen shot of your firestrike. I want to see what i get and the settings you used. Thanks

Yeah, you are supposed to copy it into your stock bios, flashing it directly could result in a brick because different gen cards.

 

Also it's actually 1.323v going into the card measured it with a multimeter.

 

GPU-Z doesn't report anything above 1.275

What is the different between copy the bios and flash the bios?

 just downlaod the tools from above, disable the card in device manager and drag drop the bios into nvflash and say yes to the prompts, restart renable and you are good.

Ok, this is the asic score of my first GTX 970, and note that my GTX 650Ti had a score that was a hell of a lot better, and this card still won't run stable max voltage, +150mhz core, 400MHz memory (I got around to flashing the original bios):

Well, if Gofspar can hit 1600 at 1.3, that might have to suffice unless I get a good card that can hit that kind of speed too.

Hmm, any way of making the card RMA worthy if I get one with Hynix chips? I'd love to get my hands on some Samsung chips to see how much further they go

I get 7 800 mhz on my Samsung memory it's decent but I haven't tried pushing more

Since the card is TDP locked and is ganked from voltage I removed them, no point in modding that card it seems.

Can i get one for the MSI 970 1.3 i tried making my own a while back and i couldnt make it stay at 1.3. Thanks my card stock hits 1600mhz but artifacts becasue im out of power 1.25 is what it runs stock. 

Sorry man, but that card is choked for power and TDP locked, It throws a false vrel when you go above stock tdp causing it to throttle.

Ok so I oc'ed my card a bit more but I'm starting to get artifacts... does that mean my card is at its limit or do I need more voltage ? Right now I'm running 1470 and boosts to 1550 something stable but at 1480 it boosts to 1560-70 and it has some artifacts... also I found this weird I saved my valley benchmark and in my 1470 on core and 7800 mhz memory I got a score of 2722 with avg fps of 65.1 on ultra with the previous driver but now that I upgraded drivers for gta when I do the same benchmark on the same settings I'm getting a score of 2681 and avg fps of 64.1.... wtf Nvidia ?

Ok I just did another run now my 1470 is getting a score of 2450 and I didn't believe it but I ran it three times with the same result I'm am running a test for stock speeds atm and we shall see how it does compared to the last driver

Ok so with stock clocks with the old driver (which I believe is 350.11) I had a score of 2380 and with new driver 350.12 for gta and titan x I gained 6 points with a score of 2386 so improvement on stock but a massive difference with my oc

So the guy with the LN2 score doesn't know what he's doing? Because LN2 cards should overclock a lot higher than water cooled ones.

so your running at 1600 mhz, well then im about 40-50 mhz off of you, thats not bad for a strix

Hey, I have a Strix too at about your settings and I'm wondering if you're able to increase your voltage because mine won't let me.
