Hello as i am writing this it's 2:22 am in the morning and i can't sleep....

 

I go to sleep normally at normal times etc.

 

I got outside i work my body till i'm tired.

 

BUT i still can't sleep!!!! 

 

Does anyone have tips on sleeping?

What I do when I cant sleep: Close my eyes and think of a white dot infront of me, then i concentrate on looking at this dot and usually sleep within 2 or 3 minutes

I like to use really ambient music and just relax

Make sure your room is cool, I can never go to sleep in a hot room.

You should remove the heatsink and reapply some fresh thermal paste.

just lay in bed and about think life, you'll fall asleep

 

You should also get off the internet, now.

A beer can help. Not only because of the alcohol but also the hops. Baldrian tea is also really good. There are also baldrian and hops extract pills if you don't want to drink a tea or beer every night. :D They're, as the name implies extracts of those two plants and completeley fine to take. Not chronically but once in a while...

If it helps it helps.The higher the original wort of the beer, the better. :D Naw but seriously, i can understand that people don't want to drink alcohol to sleep better. I have also switched to those baldrian&hops extract pills for those 2-3 nights of the month. :D

 

They're not a barbiturate but they settle you down from the daily stress. Exactly what i need. :D

Person with sleep issues due to back pains here.

Relaxing. It's the key, get comfortable, and stay that way, if you have a itch, don't itch it, feel like switching side to lie on, don't, and just lie the way you do. Meditate :)

 

I get 2-4 hours of sleep every night, and have been this way since I was 10,(11 years now)
Relaxing/meditating for 2-4 hours before and after I fall asleep (depending on when I get tired and when I wake up ofc) has saved my life.

before I learned about the blue light thing affecting sleep I would just leave episodes of Survivorman running, the guy talks in hushed tones and all the shots are of nature and the music is calming.

 

but now to quiet a restless mind keeping you from sleeping I focus on an impossible task, wiggle your toes independant of eachother 1 toe at a time. and at the same time deep breaths through the nose taking note of how I can feel the cool air enter my nostrils and up my sinuses toward my head. that combo of toes wiggling and being aware of my breathing usually clear my mind enough to allow me to drift off

Take deep breaths , If you are feeling hot , try the fan . Cold ? Blanket is your friend . Don't focus on breathing though , it will only make you harder to sleep . Just close your eyes ... Don't open them and you should be fine ... Also , try humming a non-lyric song or your favourite song . I'm not sure if that helps because I have little problem with sleeping .

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

Before my portable CD player broke I had it set up with a pair of speakers at the head of my bed and would lay down on my back at night and run a meditation/visualisation CD and before I knew it it would be morning.
