Eyy guys im new to the linusTechTips Forums.

ANYWAY:

This is the system That I want to get:

GPU:R9 280x 

CPU:i7 5820k

Ram:16GB

PSU:Corsair CX600 

 

Will it be enough for the PSU?

I'd say it will be enough but don't expect much headroom left.

 

Also, that CPU with that card? You have no taste, good sir.

It isn't a good combo for gaming, but for some productivity it is pretty good.

Get a better quality power supply !

Since you are investing so much on X99, invest a little more on a quality PSU.

FX 6300 @ 4.2 Gigahurtz 1.325V ,  ASRock 970 Extreme 4 mobo  ,  Kingston Hyperx Blu 2X4GB @1600Mhz  , Asus GTX 960 DCU ii Black OC  , Hyper 212 Evo , Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB , WD 1 TB caviar Green , Xonar DG sound card , Seasonic M12ii Evo 620W PSU , Corsair 200R case ,4 random case fans.

EVGA 750w G2 would be a good choice.

with i7  i'd say yes, but i'm not qualified enough to say R280 requires 600w, doesn't it draw more power and exhaust more heat or something? i have no knowledge of AMD cards, someone correct me

AMD products are known to be power-hungry and... warm, compared to Intel/Nvidia ones.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Yup, especially considering 5820K draws a bit more power than your average CPU.

He might not be a big gamer, but still wants a decent GPU for the times he does. I'm going to assume he intends to produce stuff based on his user name.

 

@Nilax Productions 600W is enough. You'll have all the headroom to overclock if you choose to do so, but you'll be within ~50W if the PSUs rated continuous capacity if you do so. You'll need a 600W unit from a reputable manufacturer/product line.

It's not too hard to get a 5820K to eat up an extra 100W. And a motherboard rarely eats 70W. I would expect his configuration to pull between 400-450W at stock under full load in a stress test.

I'd say a 970! if thats out of price and you doing more editing than do a 960 but honestly IMO the current R9 2xx range is very very unimpressive for its power and heat
