Asians get mad at Apple for making "racist" yellow emojis.

In an effort to better represent society, Apple has revealed a new set of globally diverse emoji that will come in six different skin tones. 

 

 

The tones include an option that turns a character yellow - a shade that the the Cupertino-based company says it intended to be ethnically neutral.

 

But the colour has angered some Apple users, particularly those in China, who claim that the yellow tone is offensive to Asians.

It's pretty stupid looking if you ask me, I'm not that yellow. I'm not a motherfuckin Simpson. However, I'm not really offended. My skin isn't paper thin.

This is what I was trying to say and my friends didn't agree with me. It is blatantly racist. The term "Yellow skinned" is racist towards Asians and just making them yellow isn't showing an actual skin tone. They could at least have tried harder than just making it literally flat out yellow. I mean, they even properly did the different shades of "black" (Those being from a darker skin, to more tan brown) but I think they just got lazy or rushed and made "asians" yellow.

 

I'm angered too because my friends couldn't understand my point on this, and then called me racist -_- 

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

It's semi-true, Asian skin has a slightly yellow pigment to it. It's NOT THIS YELLOW though.

And that was my point. Yes, Asians have a more yellow tint to their skin, there was an asian guy there at the time that did not join in on the conversation because he couldn't care but it's not that yellow.

Last time I checked emojis where always little cartoons. they dont exactly represent anything. sounds like people are complaining because apple has loads of money. and they want a load of money.
