Cannabis Legalisation

fruit loops are my kink

Here's my thoughts. I am against any airborne drugs, as it creates a second hand smoke issue.

I hate the "if tobbacco is legal, weed should be" argument, as I dont even support tobacco.

I have athsma thanks to living in england during a time of little to no regulation for smokers.

My bus driver smoked while the bus was full of kids.

The steroids it took to get my lungs functioning correctly again stunted my growth.

I am only 1.77m at 6537 days old because of it.

Honestly, I say refined, medical use only, in a non-smoking form.

I agree that consumer countries like the US and Canada are on a much better position, in fact if they do in fact legalize they could forget about importing altogether and such. However remember that I did say that even they aren't completely immune to the trepidation of cartels though: Of course they are nowhere near strong enough to really threaten safety but they are rich and craft enough to influence legislation even abroad

Certainly, especially for the occasional corrupt Congressman or Governor (etc) that accepts secret payments from the Cartels, they could stir up some shit.

I see it as I see alcohol and tobacco. Legalized and regulated.

I would sooner like to see tobacco made illegal than cannabis made legal for recreational use.

Dude that's like normal height.

You should have seen me at 15...

I was a very short kid until recently.

But my point stands.

They say it's "your choice whether you smoke weed or not." But it's not my choice to breath your second hand smoke.

I have the same stance on all airborne drugs.

Well, a lot of those issues can be remedied via proper regulation.

1. No public smoking

2. No smoking in a house or area with a minor present

3. Have designated areas that have smoking bans for those who want to completely avoid it

4. Problem solved?

Also... what? Stunted Growth? Dude, you said your 1.77 Meters tall? That equals 5 foot 9.6 inches:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Average_height_around_the_world

As shown, the average height of a male in the UK is between 5 foot 9 inches, and 5 foot 10 inches. The average height of a male in the US is 5 foot 10 inches. Soooo... you're of average height.

Now, I'm not saying that your growth wasn't actually stunted, because it certainly might have been (Hey you might have been a 6ft 4in monster), but having a height of 1.77 meters does not make you stunted on it's own by any means. You're perfectly "average" in height.

If a person chooses to smoke weed in their own home, and it does not affect you, then it shouldn't be a problem. As long as there are proper regulations put in place (Obviously, no smoking near minors, or in public places), then you should be able to go the rest of your life without encountering any second hand weed smoke at all.

And everyone knows people follow tobacco smoking regulations...

you really trust them to follow cannibis smoking regulations?

And I forgot to mention, I come from a tall family.

both my grandfathers are in the 6 foot plus range.

I may not be stunted based on average, but I have been stunted based on biology.

I would be fine with it IF there wasn't a negative effect towards me second hand IF you could easily test for it like alcohol, and IF anyone could produce it.

The problems that are caused by not being able to test if it is active in your system definately is the most concerning personally. I don't want to be hit by a high guy driving his Van down the interstate, nor do I want the police being able to say if those individuals who aren't high but were two weeks ago that they are driving high and now get a fine.

I'm a realist. I do not trust people.

There is no "ideal" world.

I do not support socialism because of this. It relies on the good will of the people in power.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely" - John Emerich Edward Dalberg

I do not support any airborn drugs because of this. I do not trust them to follow the regulations.

Sure, the democrats mean well with obamacare, but it's causing massive strain on the IRS, who is now seizing money from innocent small businesses and other civilians.

I do not trust those who wish to remove the 2nd ammendment, It takes less time to have a pizza delivered than for a cop to respond to a call, as well as it allows the government to control us, as we cannot fight back.

That is my conviction.

Any system where you rely on someone else is inherently broken. I care for myself and for others, but I do not want anyone to be dependent on me, or me to be dependent on others.

I understand your reasoning behind your post, but frankly, it seems like you'd rather live in an anarchistic society.

If you don't want to reply on someone else, then don't. Go live self sufficiently somewhere where you don't have social infrastructure. It's the only way you'll live in a way that "doesn't rely on someone else". You're basically saying you don't want to be part of society if you don't want to be dependent on anyone, nor have anyone be dependent on you.

I'm against it.

I think the smoke smells like shit, as does the weed itself.

I also hate the laziness and carelessness of people that I have seen smoke it.

I will never willingly try it and hope that it doesn't become legal. We already have enough lazy, careless, jobless people sucking money from the US govt.

For those of you that enjoy it, that's good for you. But I grew up around people that smoked it and bitterly hate it.

I am slightly considered to be an anarchist, yes, but I also see that there are very nessasary rules to living.

The very idea of anarchy means I rely on others to not do stupid stuff, and they rely on me.

that's why I like a capitalist, republican society. I do not rely on others to do stuff for me, yet I dont rely on them to not do stupid stuff thanks to the rules we live in.

But that is contradictory. You're relying on them following the rules. You're relying on the government making those rules. You're relying on the police and other law enforcement bodies to enforce those rules. You're relying on the judicial system to set down punishment for those who break those rules.

The government then relies on you to pay your taxes, to fund all of these things that you require. The rest of society also relies on you to follow the same set of rules that they do.

So in fact, you're relying on a whole lot of people, and they on you.

Yes, I know.

But you get the point.

I'm a contradictory man.

But I have my firm beliefs.
