The pop-in of textures and other details is lower than the console versions
You can type in phone numbers with the keyboard
With an i5 4670 and GTX 970 you can yield a 45-50FPS with all the visual settings cranked to max except Anti-Aliasing (yet not confirmed).

this is interesting, assuming it's not just a rumour.

I wonder why FXAA and MSAA are listed as two separate options that can be turned on and off, you would normally expect to see them as a selectable option under AA.

Do they expect some people to run both FXAA and MSAA simultaneously?

I think the recommended are the minimum, and the recommended should be something like an i5 4670 with a 290/780. Or at least if the requirements were realistic, to play at 60fps in 1080p with everything nearly maxed out.

Sweet. Hope my 7950 will do nicely at 1080p while kinda cranked up.

You do realize they ran it at 720p on a fairly good tri-core clocked at 3.2GHz, and a GPU based on the GeForce 7800. At least on the XBox. PS3 was fairly similar. That's more like the minimum.

If it almost looks the same as Max Payne 3 then why are these specs so high?

Nope. I agree as well.

Yup, I agree as well. Textures look like shit and this is on the very high preset... I'm disappointed! I really hope they release like a high-res texture pack for better PCs.

I'm personally not too concerned about the required specs, I'm more concerned about how well it's optimized... if it's going to have high system requirements then I expect it to look amazing. To be honest I hope it does have high system requirements, and I hope it genuinely makes good use of them.

I *hate* games locked at a certain FPS. I'm going to get tearing no matter what with my 144hz monitor. Not even the option for 72FPS...

Anyways, the min. specs look a lot better than Ubisoft's, hopefully it is decently optimized.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

recomended is the specs to have an enjoyable experience. Recomended specs do not equal what is needed to max out a game. These specs are a pretty good sign of being optimized

And since enjoyable experience is subjective, the recommended should be so you can max it out. Since if it's not, the recommended might not be enough to enjoy a game for some people that won't enjoy it unless it's maxed out.

You do realize that it's not the same GTA V you saw on a xbox 360 right?

GTA V will even support 4k, the game is the same, but that's the only thing that you can compare it to an xbox 360 or a ps3.

This is a game launching in 2015 for hardware from right now, not 10 years ago, you can't possiibly think they are porting the game and expecting you to play it at 720p and 30fps.

Recommended has almost always been around medium-highish settings to have an enjoyable experience.
