E39 M5 Touring

If only BMW made this... All my moneys would be gone..

I'm still happy with two E39 525i Tourings though.

photo02Big.jpg...

Are those... center locking wheels on a station wagon?

Yes, there was an M package.. we both our E39s have it :)

All it is is lowered suspension, style 65 wheels, and m badges all over the car (steering wheel, shifter, door sills) and shadowline trim

edit: whoops. My bad.. We have the Sport package (lowered suspension, and M badges. Must've added the wheels and trim afterwards).

The M package was the m-tech bumper, rear bumper, the staggered wheels, the sexy ass tri-color steering wheel, etc. They had that too, though, but I'm pretty sure it was only on 540i's. And maybe last year (2003) 530's. Not sure on that one though

@bob345 may know.. he's a BMW guy

Actually, ask @Stagea.. he knows everything ;)

Typical Germans. Same thing with the Sportline Mercs.

They cost more initially but IMO they retain the value.

I'm rather bland for my age, I'd like the Lexus LS460, but I'd be content with the ES350 or GS350.

Lotus Elise, one of the 2004-6ish ones.
Then a Caterham because I could have a crack at building it myself.

In no particular order:

BMW 8-Series (Preferably an Alpina, 5-litre V8 or 5.7 V12 would make me happy) My favourite car, pretty much of all time. Gorgeous, fast, and all the coolest luxe-chic of the early to mid to 90s. Absolute stunner, shame about the fuel economy.

BMW i8 Beatiful (except for the lack of grill on the faux-kidneys), fast, good handling, comfortable, economical - what more could one want?

Porsche 918 Spyder Fast and high tech. Very cool.

My father's BMW E46 330Ci Cabriolet M-Sport (Dark pearlescent green, leather seats) A beautiful car with a huge amount of nostalgic and sentemental value to me. Cool, smooth, composed, roof-down, roof-up. A family favourite that I hope to inherit one day. Love this car.

VW Golf R Excellent all rounder. Practical for families, comfortable and reserved for the long haul, and best of all; Cayman matching performance and kick for less £35,000.

Of course, this list changes all the time. But this is it at the time of posting.
