[Discussion] How much you spent on your computer

thir02

PC was ~1300 USD, another ~550 on monitors and mounts, and ~700 on peripherals. So lets round to $2500 and call it a day although it's more since that doesn't account for Windows, Adobe, etc.

Between 7500-8000 usd, about the same as Jobbe03, stuff is expensive here in Scandinavia. And that is exluding my TV which I only use with my computer, and bought as a comuter screen until I got the ROG Swift I have now, so if you wanna count that, add another 1500 usd

My current pc plus upgrades must have cost me something like 900 euros.  But that's only because I get big discounts on most parts (my uncle is a hardware vendor amongst other things) and some I was gifted or got used for free (the case and the h100 I still haven't had time to mount). In monitors and I spent about 700 bucks (this includes a pb287q btw).

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

i got bored so i went and calculated the parts i bought over the years

turns out more than expected

I did the same thing when I was shopping for my kid's video card.  I used pcpartpicker to help narrow down possible merchants for the card, then I just got carried away punching in the different components.  The tab has been open for over a day. haha

Like most people, I didn't buy it all at once. Many of the major components came in the last 3 or 4 months, though.  The merchants listed aren't necessarily where I bought a respective item.   Nor are the prices the same as when I bought them.  (Except for the video card, I ordered that this morning.)  It's weird that the Hitachi drive I bought is more expensive now.

I didn't actually buy those 2 SSDs.  But, if they weren't in the computer, the 1TB EVO I bought would have been.   So that balances out I guess.

Not listed because not in pcpartpicker any more:
-My Altec Lansing AVS300 2.1 speakers that were discontinued long ago. My son still uses them on a rare occasion when he's not using the headset.
-TP-Link G network USB adapter.
-Acer AL1916 display.

The computer is his.  Lucky punk.

Around $700 on my gaming build. Laptop was a Christmas gift. Leftovers, before he became leftover components from random crap, was given to me by my dad. I spent $40 on a cheap GPU, $25 on the PSU cuz it died, $20 on a small hard drive and got some fast DDR2 RAM at a garage sale for free.
