I hope it's more firepro cards!

I don't think it's devoted to GPU's I mean you can see a Cooler Master bag sitting on one of the tables...

Oh god. Not more disappointing CPUs that can't catch up to Intel...

Never say never. Even Linus can't afford Nvidia's, AMD's, and Intel's shiniest, most expensive toys.

First of all, Carrizo is so far showing some strength against Westmere and SandyBridge. Second, AMD is headed for heterogeneous. This could be the launch of new HSA-compliant Opterons, a new breeds of FirePro card, maybe FPGAs, ASICs. Who knows?

The North America release this time.

We already have those firepro cards.

I don't think it's devoted to GPU's I mean you can see a Cooler Master bag sitting on one of the tables...

With an ASUS consumer GPU box inside. ( from the looks of it)

Oh god. Not more disappointing CPUs that can't catch up to Intel...

They probably won't catch up to intel for awhile. But they'll probably gain some ground with excavator.

But never the less my hopes are none existance because of pretty much every other event in 2014.

Could be an overview of how Heterogeneous compute is finally here. As rumor is Intel products are to be showed off at the event as well (weird right? Intel at an AMD convention?)

Well given Intel saw the writing on the wall and pushed unified memory into Broadwell, i would;t be surprised if this is an OpenCL 2.0 launch event, which nvidia snubbed because they, Qualcomm, and Imagination Technologies are all late to the party as usual.

Yeah, I hope it has something to do with Heterogeneous compute. Maybe throw in some carrizo performance as well. But it wouldn't be too far off to get maybe a paper launch of a few products.

What do we know about OpenCl 2.0 right now?

We'll get a general understanding in about 90 minutes. Hopefully it's bigger than the FirePro launch not long ago.

What do we know about OpenCl 2.0 right now?

See here.

APU's are the future, especially for AMD in which 73% of their total revenue comes solely from APU sales. In terms of compute they are pretty remarkable as well since most resources are right there on die. If HBM comes with Carrizo there will be no more piping resources to the system memory as well. Everything will happen on die.

APU crap is different from APU's are crap, lol I was just referring to APU news, not that they are crap.

Yea, I might have to get one myself, if they are on FM2+ that is, I don't want to have to upgrade my motherboard for one. But I wasn't saying they are crap, just referring to the news about them (Since there is a lot).

I get a feeling this may be related to the $32 million that AMD was awarded for researching "extreme scale" computing. Primarily HSA, APU's, and memory.

They will be on the FM2+ platform. So upgrading to one should be as simple as updating BIOS.
