Woman takes her husbands ashes to T-mobile to end his contract

So this woman had a husband, sadly the husband passed away.

 

She thought that it would be a good idea to tell T-mobile. They wanted her to pay a fee for cancelling the contract. Naturally the woman isnt having this shit, she then changed her strategy.

 

She sent them a death certificate,funeral bills and even her husbands ashs.

 

In return the bailiffs get involved, they threaten to take all of her stuff if her doesnt say the bills which is around £129 at this point.

 

She went to one of the shops with all the evidence and had panic attack, she went super saiyan, and now the contract was canceled but the little wankers still wanted that £129 to be paid, they even sent letters asking if the man which was passed away wanted to get broadband for an extra £2.50

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

You really had to dig quite deep to make that joke work....

I know how she feels, I went through that exact shit when my wife died.  You can have some serious fun with these pricks when you know they can't chase you for a debt incurred by a deceased person.

After my dad passed away, I put my mom on my bill. I did have to give them a copy of the death certificate to terminate the contract he had with them. It took a little more effort to do it than I expected but they weren't rude about it.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

Yeah...carriers really don't want you to end your contract.

I know someone who, in 1997, went to the USA for work.Before that,he asked his carrier(Vodafone) to end his contract,as he wouldn't be using it anymore.They didn't.He asked them multiple times,they still didn't.

He returned years later and now, in 2014, he has a contract from Vodafone again.Guess what they sent to him?The bills from 1997(with a huge fee because he didn't pay on time).Ahahahah!

No need to pay them though.They're prescribed/expired(whatever is the term in English).

That is true, they will even lie and try to insinuate the debt is transferable or linked to her estate etc.  But that's is definitely not the case, unsecured agreements can not be linked to an estate.

 

They were not very helpful until I specifically told them they where chasing money from a dead person,  that they were more than welcome to involve debt collection or send some heavies around, I even gave them the address where she is interred.
