Mine reaches only 59C on 1400MHz and 45-50% fan speed which is incredibly good after a few hours of valley Extreme HD. I would ask that you make him to the same and tell me his temps/fan speeds.

Before the Apple flame war starts, I honestly think Gigabyte's G1 GTX 970, EVGA's Z97 motherboards and Intel's SSDs are.

I found a $60 intel 120Gb ssd on amazon and its amazing...i can see the overpriced retail part tho

Strix & Ares series seems way to overpriced disregarding the binning quality pretty much Every latest flagship hardware that shows it's true price after a few years..

Details separate people.

I will also throw in as many others have - Razer, Apple, Beats, and even the Titan.  I understand the Titan, Titan Black, Titan Z, are considered the 'blend' of a high-end gaming card and a low-end workstation card, but the fact that it has the Geforce GTX logo on it and most of the advertising focusing on the gaming aspect is kind of ridiculous alongside that price tag.  The 295x2 I could understand the pricing it had dual cores, a liquid cooler on it, and the design with a 10%-ish mark-up, but the Titan line should have it's own designation and not be marketed as the highest end gaming card, but more of just, I don't know.  "Titan" as itself would probably just work.  No GTX in front of it so it isn't -directly- associated with the gaming front.  They're ridiculously powerful gaming cards, but I think nVidia really pushes that aspect of them a lot more than they should and focus on the hybrid aspect. RANT OVER xD  Also as for more overpriced Tech - the Intel X series parts.  I understand they're of high, high quality, and insanely good OC'ing as well as with the 5000 series being 8-cores, but the $1000 is a real leap over what the price point of say the 930k parts.  Given you're going from a $600 price point to a $1000 one and though it's normally for a niche crowd, it'd probably be considered better value at $800 max even if it is equivalent to a $3000 xeon from many moons ago.  xP

Beats, Aleinware, Titians, and Macs! I hate people who try to defend Mac's. "Its for creators and artists" Just because it has good aesthetics, and the base one costs almost a grand,  don't mean anything if it has some low end hardware!

@jezza39

I would say professional is a different thing, as you are paying for a high quality tool that will make you money, so they are not just taking money from you, and usually they have a large value behind them.

You're the idiot. OSX is great for video editing and image editing, it's what OSX is popular for in the professional world.
