macbook air first thoughts and overview.

Swndlr

I use a mouse because it means that I don't have to use the trackpad at all. So I don't care. My daily driver ThinkPad X60 doesn't even have a trackpad.

You're not a trackpoint user, are you?

I've used trackpads that aren't shit but Apple's don't fall in to that category.

Which do, if you don't mind me asking?

True but on Windows a 1366 x 768 screen looks weird to me since everything is kind big (hard to explain). But having a 1080p screen is like the perfect size for me since it doesn't look big and everything is sized right for me and even better to get wallpapers. The res is just a personal preference and depends on the person, I'm concerned about battery life as long as it last 6 or more hours, then I'm fine.

battery lasts around 10 hours on mine :D and btw the resolution pairs up fine with osx.

good review. I might get this laptop for college since it's so light and thin.

Just saying. NOT a recommendation. (Or comparison)

That's always a plus for that battery life in such a small and light weight form factor. How hot does the battery get after you use if for awhile and while charging? Also, what kind of battery is it using (Lipo) or something else?? too lazy too look it up.

Btw, I'm not a OSX user, never liked it and felt rubbish(personal preference) to me (used it a lot in high school since that's all we had so I have been around it for many years) because it doesn't have certain software support I can use on it (The software is extremely expensive ($2500))

Then why bother posting it?

The battery doesn't really heat up at all. It runs relatively cool.

The VAIO pro was never sold in a store (Other than the Sony stores)

That must have been the VAIO flip you have seen.

The hell is a trackpoint...?

Off the top of my head I'd have to Say the ones of Sony's Vaios are pretty good.  There's at least one more brand but for the life of me I can't remember.

I just don't like Apple trackpads, even after trying to reconfigure the settings for it it feels sluggish and inaccurate.

It's a mouse nipple.

Literally a mouse nipple.

I still wonder why they made it when they could've done other things instead. Still works fine though.

osx takes my heart with almost everything. its so smooth, one of the only plusses to apple, their killer design team.

You're profile pic goes really well with that recommendation. Sad to see the Vaio name leave Sony. Parents had one of these a really long time ago. First computer I ever used.
