Moto 360, prepare thine wallets... Only if you're in the US,UK, & Canada

CYaN_Bob

Motorola's long-awaited smartwatch is finally ready to be released, at least in the US. After roughly five months since being unveiled, the Moto 360 is due to hit the consumer market at last, one that's been so patiently awaiting its arrival. Starting today at Noon ET, those of you in the States can order your very own for $250, from Motorola's website, Google Play and Best Buy (both online and at retail stores).

Although I'm not the type to wear watches I will definitely be getting this piece of tech just to get a taste of Linus's pebble experience hopefully with good battery life. I can picture it now, lifting my wrist to talk to my watch on the bus with the driver staring at me strangely in the rear view mirror.

Pricing and availability

US - $250

UK - £199, available in "early October"

Canada - $279, "in the Fall'

Available for purchase on Motorola's website, Google Play, and Bestbuy

Hmmm....narp. Face is way too large. Unless that man just has a really small wrist.

So I'll just buy it from the US and have it shipped to me for cheaper than what I'll be able to get it for here.

You'd save $4. And likely have to pay a higher shipping rate, so you'd lose out in the end.

call me picky but that just murders the watch for me...

Blade must be an exception. All others i found. But doesnt UK have everything. They can be ordered from there.

Sadly no, Razer is doing so badly with supply that it's limited to US customers which crazy IMO.

YESYESYES

Will pre-order as soon as it's available. This looks sweet as fuck, and is just as well specced as comparable smartwatches.

Decent price for what it is, considering competitors have forgone metal in their watches and instead gone with silicon and plastic.

Why does it have to have that little sector on the bottom...

call me picky but that just murders the watch for me...

It's for the sensors, notably the ambient light sensor, not present on the only other round smartwatch we've seen, the LG G watch R. If you look at some of the early reviews, they show another prototype motorola was considering  which would have had no bar but Massive bezels. Definitely this is the better option, and it still looks sweet, especially with a darker watchface.

Everything said by me is my humble opinion and nothing more, unless otherwise stated.

If it weren't for the stupid black bar at the bottom, I would buy one right now.

It's just a bezel...

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

That's ok - it's kinda like Apple running out of stock, it's saving people a lot of dumb people a colossal waste of money.  :)

I was going to ask my parents for a Pebble Steel for my Christmas and birthday, but this looks very tempting!

Hmmm....narp. Face is way too large. Unless that man just has a really small wrist.

Im going to go with small wrist, the face of the watch is a pretty standard size (even if it is a bit thicker than most watches). But i would still want to see one in person before i go spend 250 bucks on it.

Since I'm not a wrist watch guy, I couldn't care less, but personally I'd buy this over a similar priced wrist watch any time.

I really hope a meme appears from these watches. Anytime someone leans down and yells "OK GOOGLE" someone else runs up from behind and smacks that persons wrist up into their own face.

That is all.....

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

I'm half expecting some sort of Nexus Watch to be announced or something soon so I am gonna wait and see what happens...

Otherwise, the LG G Watch R is looking like a nicer option as it actually looks a lot more like a watch to me.

I actually recently switched to Android from iOS, and I do like the look of the Moto 360. Might buy it to see what it's like.

Although I'll have to order it in the UK, ship it to Northern Ireland to a parcel courier, and then pay them to deliver it to a deposit box for me to go and get it.

It certainly looks nice, and will be the first watch I've worn in about a decade.
