I can only imagine what it'd be like to actually own your own stuff to dick around with. The one friggin Samsung model that was at my Best Buy was just mind blowing, but so was the price (a mere 6,200 USD).

I imagine that was an OLED set, those are pretty nice. I don't own anything quite on that level, I have a Samsung 65" 4k w/ HDR 10 in my living room that ran me about $2000 as well as a Roku 55" $K w/ HDR & Dolby Vision that only cost me about $600. TBH, HDR is where it's at. I feel like with a 10 bit HDR panel, there is a bigger difference between regular 4K and 4K w/ HDR than there is between 1080p & 4K.

If I'm not mistaken it was one of the fancy pantsy Quantum Dot displays. Either way the one I keep eyeballing is about as good as it gets for the 400something that it costs. One day I'll get it. One day.

Went out earlier this week and bought these -

IMG-20171116-WA0004.thumb.jpg.d874d47f447de75b71f83c079d83db60.jpg

And these past four days, a couple of stuff I'd ordered arrived...an active mini-DP to HDMI port finally arrived after about 3 weeks.

IMG-20171116-WA0005.thumb.jpg.9fd41df89fd0638a4f1a752801c38279.jpg

I'd ordered froma local seller a pair of 4pin Balanced XLR cable for my HD6XX

IMG-20171116-WA0006.thumb.jpg.09f5bb992c33399ebababbdc13e31e4e.jpg

I got it plugged into my iFi Micro iDSD BL, hence I need to use a 4pin Balanced XLR cable to 6.3mm adapter for now, waiting to have my aircon repaired.

Also got another bottle of Kryonaut. Stuff is amazing.

Most recent purchase has been the Synology DS415+ NAS and it's the finishing piece to my "dream" setup. I use it as a Plex server primarily, as well as a place to backup school -and other projects or files (running in Synology's RAID5). Also have my printer plugged into it so it acts as a print server.

A 33 U server rack lined with sound dampening panels, cost a couple hours of my time cleaning the rack and carefully measuring and cutting out the panels which I dumpster dived at work 6 months ago. Still got quite a hefty pile left...

I go through deodorant a lot faster now as I burn 1000-1200 calories a day, maybe more, walking 6-7 miles uphill for fun.  #NORWEGIANTHINGS

After getting hit with a huge dental bill I've learned my lesson too.

What? 1200 calories a day, are you in a coma or something? FYI an average adult man needs ~2000 kilocalories per day.

I personally need at least twice as much on a normal day, if I happen to have time for a decent workout I consume 6000-8000 kcal in a day.

One of these. A Samsung SHG50 1080p monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time (gray to gray).

It was ordinarily $360 but I was waived $100 due to clearance although it was a a relatively new model.

According to Harvard, a woman can eat as low as 1200 and a male as low as 1500.  But, if you're active you need to eat more calories otherwise you will just burn lean muscle instead of fat.  But, you also have to factor in BMR into the equation, not just a set number.  I eat 2500-3000 calories a day.  If I was eating 1500 calories and burning away a thousand then I'd go into starvation mode.  Starvation mode is under 1200 for everybody.  But, a man shouldn't eat/intake less than 1500.  I can go as low as 1500, but it is healthier for me to stay around 1812-1815 for weight loss.  Now, if I wanted to maintain my weight then I'd need to eat more.

Is it just me being an assburger, or is it everyone else talking out of their ass? Where I live energy consumption is measured in kilocalories, not calories. 1200 calories is quite low for a daily consumption you know...

Yeah I know americans tend to do climb a tree ass first.

I'm just being a grammar nazi, 1 dollar is quite a different amount of money than 1000 dollars don't you think?

What it comes to calorie intake/consumption and workout I know enough, I workout myself when I have the time for it. No need to try teaching things I know already.
