Bought a new microSD card for my Fiio X3 2nd Generation which has a paltry 64GB card installed atm.... :D

Ugh, wish I had the 64GB variant of that. I have some random ass 16GB SanDisk one. It's pretty nice, but too small.

Speaker was £67, the MDF isn't that heavy and is really easy to work with.

Got this yesterday, a Huawei Mediapad 8 Vogue. I'm gonna use it for surfing the net via Wi-Fi in my room, listening to music and watching movies. Comes bundled with a 13000mAh power bank which feels quite heavy. So far, I'm liking it's performance despite having only a paltry 1GB of Ram, quad core CPU at 1.6ghz so it's fast enough for apps that I use on it.

This is the second time I've tried SLI now. The first being an abysmal 7950GX2, that's driver support ended in almost 6 months. :P

I ordered them on launch day from Germany, and they arrived on Thursday.

I'm extremely impressed so far with them. 3 Runs of 3DMARK Firestrike looped, and hours of Witcher 3 gaming, and they averaged 35 decibels inside my NZXT H440, measured from where my chair is in relation to the system.

I get an average of 75fps in Witcher 3 1440p full ultra with all gameworks features. I kind of want a 3rd card now, but I doubt it would be easy on my EVGA 1000w G2 PSU.

@GamerDude

i heard you like expensive cans?

:D  :D

I was wondering, do you buy your headphones all new?

Because that'd be a shitton of money ^^

How you like your W5000? :)

Yep, all my cans are used, so I save a shitton of cash. :P  I'm looking at the Ether and HE1000, but in no rush to get either as I have a lot on my plate already. Already have five orthodynamic cans, so I can take my time. Been spending most of my time listening to some DSD64 tracks with my iFi Nano iDSD + Schiit Lyr stack, with either my PS1000 or W5000 depending on my mood. Surprisingly, despite having foam pads and open back, the PS1000 has a punchier bass that while having presence, doesn't bleed into the mids and high. Surprisingly, I find the GS1000 to have a tighter bass, less thick than the PS1000, and well, seems more refined than the PS1000......other than it very sparkly highs. The PS1000 doesn't quite have that sparkle and hence, is less fatiguing to listen to for me. Been listening to the cans since late morning, enjoying the music and my cuppa....oops, my coffee cup isn't in the frame.

2_zpsjfgckbic.jpg

The W5000, honestly speaking, isn't what I'd expected. Yes, it sounds great, but bass is surprisingly less than what I'd expected from a close can (when compared to the Denons I have). Mids seem a tad forward with nice treble energy, similar to the PS1000 in that......the treble.  But the combination of the forward sounding mids and highs seem to make it sound a tad congested at times, especially when there's a lot happening in the song at the time. Still, these are just impressions of a layman with pretty shoddy hearing.

Due to my ever expanding storage needs, I'd decided to get a WD Elements 5TB drive to store all those critical data I'd accumulated through the years.

4_zpspmme4cza.jpg

I'd just installed the GamerStorm (by Deep Cool) Maelstrom 240 into my 2nd rig, and as I'd suspected, the CM Seidon AIO had bit the dirt. Powered up and got to desktop w/o issue after installing it......pretty nice touch, the 'breathing' logo on the water block. Performance wise, can't complain, according to Asus AI, the CPU idles at 34C....my cabling's a tad messy, just don't have the energy to do cable management right now......if ever.

I recently upgraded my cooling:

yZTmuBb.jpg

The Dark Rock 3 is new, as is the Silent Wing 2 and the two NF-F12s in the front.

CGz9tTpWwAAnYzV.jpg

I am impressed with how silent this computer now is. Now the loudest part is the three hdds in there.

Also, since I was using an H80i before this, and my socket cutout on the case is slightly misaligned with the socket itself, it gave me the oppurtunity to redo the cables. I have removed quite a lot of the cable clutter that accumulated behind my motherboard, now I can close the sidepanel without excessive force! yay!
