Hello everyone! I got some INSANELY cool stuff in today!

 

 

I got my dominator platinum light bar kit, as well as a box of LED strips from my sponsor, Add-on Customs.

I promised him I'd do a review of them, as well as compare them to my previous (that's right I said previous) LED strips, from IceModz.

 

 

Here goes it:

 

Upon first impressions, they are of MUCH better quality in terms of "attention to detail" (something I value a lot)  Where the LED strip stops, there is a piece of heatshrink to prevent accidental shorting on the case / something else.     Secondly, the wire is attached via hot glue AND super glue to the LED strip, then heat-shrinked over the glue to provide a clean,  look.  The wire coming from that is also sleeved, with nice sleeving. 

 

The LED strips themselves are similar in quality to IceModz, but the LED's are MUCH closer together (3 LED's for every 1 LED on the Icemodz strip) on Add-On's strips, providing an even glow that is EXTREMELY bright. (Probably 2-3 times brighter than IceModz)

 

Another thing to note, Icemodz has a sort of yellow-ish white color, and the Add-on strips have a blue-ish white. (Similar to those nice headlights on newer cars)

 

Did I mention Add-On's box of LED strips came with candy?

yeah icemodz is going to replace them because of the wrong yellow color + not being long enough (latter part = my fault)

Secondary update: I've sent all the cables back into Icemodz, I probably won't get them back for quite a while unfortunately. 

 

Sorry    (Shipping is INSANELY expensive if I wanted them back next week, I just can't afford $60 shipping both ways or I'd have them back next week.)

 it's UV yellow, which I thought it would only be UV reactive under a UV light, but for some reason it like always is.. 

 

 

I should of got the matte yellow from the get-go, but I thought the brighter yellow wouldn't be so dam bright (as it was on the website)

I'm unsure when I'll be able to finish it, I still need like 500$ for the watercooling parts, and I only have ~300$ worth of things to sell.

 

I'll have to figure out how to get $200-300 to cover the differences.  Not sure what I'm going to get rid of or if I can find a job in time. Been filling applications out left and right
