Well with this crap w/ the cables, dunno what I'ma do.

 

I hope he only charges me a few dollars to fix it, and not another $135.

And didn't @Lays say that it looked like he had used a UV light to begin with? That can really fuck with the colors of something...

He used a UV light for the pictures of it he sent me I believe, but the pictures on his site were not under UV light.   The pictures on his site of the color is much different than the actual color.

Yeah I didn't wanna like it because it was strange for me to click like about a funeral but I wanted to for this reason.

 

 

Sucks about the cables @Lays is it really bad or totally off?

It's totally off.  I knew that they would be slightly brighter than the yellow on the m power, but I was ok with a tiny bit brighter.

 

But... Yeah they look really green-ish if you don't look at them head-on.

@VSG , the yellow on the cables is almost green, it doesn't look anything like the yellow on the site.  I'm a bit saddened :/

 

The 24 pin is literally only like 1-2 inches short of being perfect as well, I could make it fit, but due to the pin-out of 28 wires to 24 wires, I think I may damage the way he spliced the wires together in certain spots.

Going to UPS later today to see if I can re-schedule my 290x delivery since I won't be home on Friday.  (Said I could do it on the phone or in person) I'd rather do it in person than talk to some foreign guy from india.

I dunno how it works there but here we use DPD they are better. You can just text to reschedule or change the day or even delivery to a neighbour they'll text you in when the received it and that morning of to ask you about these things.

I once spoke to someone from Comcast, he sounded like a cross between an indian guy and a hispanic person, literally the worst thing ever trying to communicate with the guy. I literally couldn't understand 90% of what he was saying, kept trying to tell me I was in the wrong "package plan" to get the free upgrade

 

Ended up hanging up and going into the comcast store instead lol

 

(At the store ended up getting everything I asked for on the phone on top of a bunch of other stuff xD)

I still have to get rid of quite a bit of stuff before I can finish my build :/   fittings from the old build + CPU block + extensions from it, fan controller from it, among other crap.

 

If I can ditch all that stuff I can finish the build, but I've been having trouble getting rid of the rest of the stuff.

I've gotta leave for the weekend for that funeral stuff in 3 hours, I'll be back on Sunday.

 

 

My cousin said he would stay up before he has to work graveyard shift, to sign for my 290x lightning.  My dominator platinum light-bar kit was also supposed to show up on monday... It's now Friday and USPS claims "today" it will show up. (Despite them claiming it would show up monday)

 

So on Sunday I should have pictures of the cables (even though they don't match) along with my dominator platinum light bar kit + 290x lightning.

 

 

 

Also, about my 4790k: I got it to 4.9 ghz whilst using onboard graphics, @VSG mentioned to me that haswell overclocking whilst using onboard GPU is a bit "finicky", so I imagine 4.9-5ghz will be easy when I have the dedicated GPU.

 

I actually got it to boot into windows at 5ghz 1.4v, but it crashed shortly afterwards before I could take the CPU-Z pic. (Voltage should be able to be lowered quite a bit if what VSG said was true about haswell onboard+overclocking)
