deadrising 3 PC "optimized" for 30 fps...

AlexGoesHigh

well capcom has done it again, with this it seems this port is going to be shit, on a stream early today the devs said that the animation are rendered in 30 fps and that it warns user to not disable the lock because the game can glitch, if you wanna know their statement (and what a bunch of people think about it) go here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=835913

Well, I fully expect TotalBiscuit to rip them a new one for this like he did with Need For Speed.

Atleast this is on a game I had no prior intentions of buying I guess...

Just hope this doesn't become a trend.

"Hey PC Port is at 30 FPS as that was all we could get out of the consoles. No wait. I mean that's exactly how we wanted it. We totally didn't just half ass this port and then expect you guys to buy it."

Some people may have but I like most people scaled the eye candy to give at least 30FPS, the generally accepted minimal playable frame rate. Anyway its now 7 years in the future and expectations have or at least should have risen to match hardware/software improvements, hence this whole debate that we should not be limited to sub 1080p res and sub 60 fps with the hardware available.

Holy shit look at the number of people reading this topic. (Almost 800 at time of posting)

Also, LOL. Ugh, these devs know nothing about good game design.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

You know, I've protested every single game lunch that I didn't like by not buying it.
It didn't make a difference at all. I just ended up playing less games.

Is it a problem to buy less games?

Would you rather have a 50 bad games or 5 good ones?

Personally, I'd rather have 5 good ones.. 30 FPS is completely unacceptable on PC, especially since we have the hardware to run as fast as we want.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Love how everyone thinks 30FPS is bad yet they played Crysis in 2007 around 19fps....

But Crysis 1 ran like this because it was more advanced than the hardware at the time.

Dead Rising 3 looks really bad so there is no excuse for 30fps.

The Order 1866 devs did a stupid comment on 30fps but at least their games visuals justifies the frame rate.

If your game looks like this 30fps are acceptable :

The-Order-1886_barrel-blast_1284.jpg

But if your game looks like this than there's no reason for 30fps:

Heck, I still have the Day One edition on console and haven't opened it xD

I honestly don't understand what encourages developers to do this. This is 2014.

Best thing yet - Probably comes default with motion blur and makes it impossible to even do anything because of the lag.

Personally, I'm not much of an FPS snob and anything above or around 30 satisfies me...

That being said, I have pretty high end hardware and I think that I should be given the option for at least 60fps.. especially if your game looks like something a kid with crayons threw together.
