Hey guys!

I didn't think it was necessary to open a thread just for this, so here it goes:

I remember a few years ago, when Linus was testing various cooling solutions, when he took the measurments for the temperatures he corrected the ambient temperature to 20ºC.

I am going to test a few heatsinks myself, do you think this is the best method or should I just stick with deltas?

Also, I tried googling this and I'm having some trouble finding the method for correcting the temperature, do you guys know how it's done?

Thank's in advance ;)

People are more familiar with actual temperatures than they are with deltas, so that may be why he listed them like that.  I would do it like that too.

To correct them to a certain temperature, you just slide it by how far off your ambient temps are.  For example, if your room is at 25° and your CPU is at 68°, then at 20° your CPU should be at 63°.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

And here I was thinking it was not linear and that I needed an equation of sorts :P

Thank's Ryan ;)

I don't know about you guys, but every time someone mentions "AOTS" (Ashes of the Singularity) I always think of the original "AOTS" (Attack of the Show), which was so much better.  RIP G4

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

So far I think Korean seems to be the most accurate of what it should sound like xD
